How does Bramble Vest's Grievious Wounds apply ? before lifesteal or after lifesteal

As in, if I have Bramble Vest, which applies Grievious Wounds to someone attacking me.... would the person get full benefit of lifesteal and THEN get grievous wounds applied or is grievous wounds applied first to mitigate the healing of the attacker?

Given that it's supposed to be an anti-Lifesteal item, I'd assume it applies before

That's...a good question. That's worth checking out later when I get home. Will update if I'm able to check!

I haven't tested this, but I'll make an assumption and explain why.

I think it applies GW before LS, and here's why.

GW is applied "on hit", being as soon as the aa ticks, it applies GW. The LS only triggers after damage is dealt, since it's based around the aa damage. Logically, since the "hit" triggers before the "damage" in the code*, GW should apply before LS.

*Otherwise champs who can cancel out of their aa animations would still trigger damage, the full hit animation has to trigger in order for it to apply damage.

Before, if it were after it would be pretty bad considering the effect's only one second.
