I might get downvoted for this, but I just wanted to ask a serious question. Furthermore, I know this is kind of late. Two months to be exact.

Quoted from the 8.1 patch notes, this was the reasoning for Heimerdinger's Ultimate nerf which essentially gutted him.

Heimerdinger has quite a low player base and only dedicated players that manage to master and learn his kit play him. I feel the nerf was based on the fact that players not knowing how to play against a champ they rarely see.

If Heimerdinger was nerfed for doing too much damage, then why is able to be rampant around summoners rift potentially dealing even more damage with her ridiculous burst?

Well for one thing, Zoe has to earn it now that they made her R-Q combo an incredibly tight window. Heimerdinger kinda just waits for some idiot to walk into his turrets, ults, and drops a stun grenade on them. Then they kinda just die

Honestly, it's more a buff to bruisers top than anything. They needed some love.

This coming from a Heimer main ;)

He needed nerfed sure, but not as much as they did.

They also labeled it that it was because stopwatch was making him too safe as well with his ultimate. Now when stopwatch gets nerfed, the nerf will stay because that's how they do things.

This has been the case with a number of nerfs. Also I think it was an excuse to say they did something instead of sitting around thinking of insightful things for phreak to say in LCS games.

Zoe still makes Riot money so they don't want her to be balanced because OP sells more. She isn't as bad as everyone makes her out to be though.

Zoe isn’t rampant. Also she is a burst mage. She’s supposed to burst.

Heimerdinger isn’t. Also his nerf was incredibly minor (only part of one of his 6 abilities), and was to help out bruisers and the like.

all a bruiser needs to do is build item 3194 , so now regardless of how many times you've killed their top laner as heim, you wont have any kill presence. I honestly wish he had a better passive, because it's basically designed to kite out melees than actually deal with midlaners
