Around 2-3 kills, less than 5 deaths. Many wards destroyed/placed (Around 10 destroyed? 20 placed?). Around 20 assists.

Sona is actually a fairly easy support to get S ranks on. The key is item 3100 .

Lich Bane gets near constant procs on Sona because of her recent buffs, and in conjunction with Q-AA, does a LOT of damage. Use it to execute champions and take kills (and build those kills into a fully-stacked Archangel's for more damage and infinite mana).

Additionally, take CS when your ADC is away from lane (or if you're looking to back soon and are near an item breakpoint).

A lot of stats go into consideration when wanting to get S grades on supports but bottom line is that Riot adjusted the KDA (specifically addressed the K in this equation) in order to make support champions easier to earn S ranks, as opposed to their kill seeking counterparts.

Bottom line is, for supports it takes into account damage done and wards placed/cleared, CS isn't that important but wouldn't hurt if you manage to get your hands on some, healing and shielding. When you think about what you need to do in order to get an S rank, just think of what the specific support you are playing does best and kick it up a notch. Try to surpass your score from the previous game by little in every other game after that. Grades are also determined by the popularity of champions as champions with more players playing them simply end up with more games to define a grade in more details than champions with fewer players.

Bard and Sona have the potential to deal quite a lot of damage so if you have the opportunity to do so, don't be afraid to take the advantage. A few kills here and there doesn't hurt but don't take kills from your carries just because of your grade.

Dying less is also a factor so try not to overextend in order to fulfill your quota in other parts, only to realize later that you're dying too much. A lot of deaths will drop your score as well.

Well the good news is you're in bronze, so for Sona it's easy. At that level, build full AP. item 2301 item 3100 item 3285 for core build. After that, it depends on the opposition. A lot of people are going to be telling you to be running mana items, but i've yet to honestly need it. It's about resource management, not spamming skills like a cat pawing a keyboard.

Sona at your level is a lane bully, so use her early damage to it's full extent. You want to be running Thunderlord's. Sona can chunk down any adc she gets near and a great deal of the supports, even a lot of tanks early on.

You honestly only need roughly 20+ cs if your kill participation is high enough. It goes against what they drill into young supports heads, but the more kills the better. End of the day, any well fed member of the team becomes a force to be reckoned with and at a bronze level Sona can devastate the enemy. You want 65% or high for kill participation. If you aren't getting many kills, you do want as many assists as you can get, with as little deaths as possible.

Besides that, you need to be a warding machine. By 30 minutes you want 20+ wards out, not including pinks. You also want to be trading out your yellow trinket for a sweeper and clearing as many wards as possible.

Not everyone will agree with my advice, but it is how I easily carried myself to a mastery 7 on Sona. You can do it the harder way building more traditionally if you feel like it.

Best thing I can tell you is learn when to poke. People poke with just Q on Sona a lot, which is ok, but a Q auto is a ton more damage. Look for that moment when they are going to last hit and go poke them then. I had a game vs a Kog'Maw and he literally couldn't CS cause I would just run up and if he went for CS he'd lose half his health. Obviously it's a Kog but still, it applies to other ADCs as well.

The times I get an S with Bard is when I make picks with my ult that sets my team up for a kill. It's a great feeling where a Bard ult instantly pops flash even though no one is in range to follow up on it. Also try to pick these supports into a specific team. Bard ult into MF ult is awesome, though if you don't communicate this with your ADC, you can ruin it for them.

Keep warding, always have a pink ward on map and in inventory, place wards in choke points (or enemy jungle if you can safely).

Lvl 7 bard swag, get S about 15% of my games. I build full tank.

Lane phase hit a lot of auto attacks on opponents. Spam auto attacking whenever the enemy is positioning for CS. Spam your W in lane and constitantly spam it to heal yourself and ally even if you have 3 down use it all the time not charged. Only get chimes for mana early and stay with adc using Q to initiate or peel.

After you have sightstone buy a sweeper as well and constantly ward. Ward as if it's the most important thing you could be doing and any time sweeper is off CD sweep bushes.

Hit your ults. Try to have about 12-13k dmg done, 6-10k healing, 25-30k dmg taken, and 30-40 wards dropped in a 30-35 min game. My S+ games I'll have 5-10 kills, 0-4 deaths, 20-30 assists.
