Thoughts about the impact of the support this patch
I have a feeling the meta has been extreemly changed this patch. As a support I feel your impact through vision controle has been increased. But your roaming and passive laning has been nerfed. And not just a little.
I have a feeling low mobility supports will struggle a lot this patch. Their are just to many objectives on the line to be immobile. Dragon & Rift Herald are the ones that come to mind. Since they are cross map. I have a feeling that
will become a must again. Not because they are the effective or anything. Just because you need to be their. If you don't do this, you will just lose another objective.
And than if you finally managed the vision controle. The second problem start to apear and that's the your teammates actualy have to showup on the objective. If they don't come, well all your resources you put into it are lost. So basicly supports will have to rely even more on their team. This can give some big problems in low elo. I remember last game where I has fighting over vision against 5 people. While my teammates place one pink ward & 10 wards all together. I believe I had 36 ward placed or something...
Players indeed have to adapt to the patch, but the elo limitation can really start to pull the support down. Those AP supports often feel more reliable when you can't rely on your teammates like
.
But those are not the only champions that will rise again. Champions like
will just skyrock.
