Revert the Kled q buff and address his real issues

Is this the buff he needed? No. Is this the buff I wanted as a Kled main? No. Is this change going to hurt the game in the long run? Absolutely. Healing in general is out of line yes, but that is due to how easy healing debuffs are to obtain right now. Adding more healing debuffs to the game will only force you to buff healing even more, otherwise healing won’t be useful.

Revert the q change and consider this instead:

Stats: Buff Kled’s health to 340 + 75 per level from 340 + 70 per level Nerf Skaarl’s health to 400 + 60 per level from 400 + 65 per level

Passive: Courage when hitting enemy champions lowered to 12 from 15

Remove the -20% damage to champions when dismounted

Alternatively

Kled now gains 15% / 40% increased attack speed when dismounted, scaling with level.

There’s also a bug where his enhanced W attack just straight won’t proc. It happens every game against minions, however, it has rarely happened against champions. That being said it still does happen, and it should be fixed as soon as possible.

Adding healing debuffs on champions is a good way to go about it. But we need to remove healing debuffs on items for it to mean anything.

Currently it's just unneeded added power, but if healing debuffs on items didn't exist, it would be a necessary niche.

Healing debuffs on items is also why heals are so out of line, because they compete with each other.

TL;DR: Keep healing debuffs on champs, remove healing debuffs from items and nerf out of line healing.

Why would we want to lessen his weaknesses and his strengths?

Did someone say BUG?!? @OP Here is the list of ALL 10 OF EM! https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/bug-report/oAvUvnLd-gameplay-kled-has-10-bugs-and-counting-all-listed-with-recreation-some-methods

We got the W bug, leveling W while using it for no 4th hit bug, A dismounted Q bug, the classic teleport dash bug and many more!

I agree, these need to be fixed because most of these are over 2 years old now!

i honestly though kled was fine .. hesone of those champions people are reminded how striong he can be but i find what reduces his play rate is the ult ... it can be awkward to use IMO

Holy shit he has a 20% damage debuf off his mount!? I've played him for years and didn't know this!

riot wants kled to be a niche counterpick to morde i guess? is the reason for the healing debuff

I just want an ability on his E when dismounted. But I do like these changes you made too.

To be honest, one of the things I find lacking in Kled's kit is that it feels like he only has 2 abilities, and one of them is tied to Autos in a way you can't control. He is meant to be a 1v1 killing machine and a perfect single target picker in teamfights, yet his ult barely has any uses in fights other than having a slight knock-back and his E is just a way to stick to his target without anything else extra (and this, with an huge cooldown for an ability doing barely anything).

His passive is possibly the strongest in the whole game, the only reason it feels so lacking is because how burst damage is sooooooo common in the game and that Assassins are pretty much ruling everything, making remounts hardly possible against opponents who actually know how it works.

My take on balancing him would be putting a new passive effect on his E (since he levels it last, making it more late-game relevant), making him take reduced damage from all sources BUT the person hit by his Q knockback (only if it does hit). While dismounted, it would be the opposite, making him take reduced damage from those hit by his shotgun blast.

What he is lacking is new mechanics, not bigger numbers (he already has some of the biggest in the game). Anti-healing is interesting, but not in such a meta and particularly not on a champ such as Kled, he needs something else to replace this.

Also can we please ping the cooldown on his passive? i have asked many times and it has yet to happen.

Does anyone here understand math or play Kled? These are joke buffs, and cutting Kled's courage generation on AAs from 15 to 12 will neuter him.

I have no idea why Riot thought this buff was a good idea and what Kled needed. I play him alot and its so difficult to get courage back or even kill someone when Im in a 1v1 dismounted fight. They need to give him those buffs to his courage gain and maybe let him activate W because its so annoying when you actually need the ability you dont have it because you used it to farm minions or it activated on its own when you didnt even attack anything.

Imo the only changes kled needs is to be immune to damage the moment he hops back on skarl (just like when he pops off). Dying while remounting feels bad and doesn't reward risky plays.

And also dismounted E should be like zombie sion, just a short 2 second speed boost. Maybe only usable once per dismount. Something to help you either escape or get in for a remount quicker as the passive speed boost towards enemies isn't too great.

It’s not that they’re invested in Kled, Riot has ignored the poor guy since he was created. No riots made this patch the “counterplay” patch by stapling a lot of bonus effects on champions and Kled happened to be caught in the crossfire.

Blitzcrank Renekton got shieldbreaking Katarina Kled got new or improved GW Ahri Poppy Cassiopeia hurt mobile carries more Karma Morgana Leblanc have improved true sight Fizz Leona have anti consistent damage And Sylas is now an anti-mage
