Out of curiosity, why don't Sivir, Gnar and Ekko get movespeed boosts on their Q's like Ahri?

It's the same mechanic, no? Except the other three don't get true damage on the return.

I don't think Ahri needs a movement speed boost lmao, she already has 3 dashes to reposition easily. This isn't a QQ thread, I don't think Ahri's OP.

cause ahries Q giving MS isn't related to the boomerang mechanic. After they removed DFG, they soft reworked her into a kite mage thus adding aditional mobillity, but reduceing her singlertarget damage.

Because their kits as a whole don't actually need it.

Gnar already get's movement speed elsewhere...

Sivir gets movement speed on her ult..plus she's an ADC and should be properly positioning

Ekko gets plenty of movement bonuses

Ahri is only mobile when she has her R up. Other than that she's just a mage that kites around and needs constant movement to continue her barrage.

Ahri is a special case. They did that to make up for removing her damage amplification at the same time when they removed DFG.

One problem with comparing two spells from two different champions is that you need to consider their entire kit. Not every passive, spell, or ultimate is going to be equal. This is called a power budget.

Sivir, for instance, does not get a MS boost from her Q because her passive already works similar to a phage. Ahri does not have a passive like that.

Gnar has a hop for mobility in a basic spell (and a MS boost when he goes mini from being mega), Ahri's main dashing is in her ultimate.

Ekko can already get a MS boost and slow the enemy down with his kit, he doesn't need a MS boost from his Q on top of that.

It isn't the same mechanic. Boomerang projectile does not automatically entail speed boost.

Gnar doesn't get a speed boost because you're already slowed if his Q hits.

Same with Ekko, but only if you remain in it. The strategy around Ekko's Q is finding a way to make it hit the enemy twice. He has three spells that allow him to be able to do that (E, E2, R) so he doesn't need a speed boost.

Sivir What's her passive & ult again?

Gnar For a guy with no costing abilities & mobilities from his W & E, it's more than enough.

Ekko ......of all champions. Just dont.

you know, when people say Ahri is 'too mobile' it's really kind of striking to me, like.... have you considered that without her ult, she's almost a sitting duck? She has the MS of Lux. She's got a pretty solid identity now, as a semi mobile kite mage with secondary assassin characteristics.

Also she cant completely abuse that boost either. She has to stop to cast it, and as it ranks up (and with her average mana pool) she'll run out of mana decently fast early and mid game. Also, if the opponent is faster than you, they WILL catch up. Especially if they've got mobility too. She can't take that many hits, she's not a damn tank.

Because all of them already have movement speed boosts that can be triggered by their Q's?

Sivir's gains movement speed upon any damage dealt by her abilities or basic attacks; thus, Q gives her movement speed. Gnar gains movement speed A) already when in mini form due to passive, and B) gains movement speed anytime he procs Hyper, which his Q can. Ekko gains movement speed anytime he procs his passive, which his Q can.

The better question is why does ahri get a MS boost when she already has enough mobility?
