Getting real tired of the way demotions work

So just now I got demoted from Gold 2 to Gold 3 with... 1 loss at 0 lp! It's awesome to know that by having first pick not ban , , , I can get demoted from 22lp in only 3 games! And it will take a minimum of 4 games to get back to where I was!

My last 10 games in ranked have been more losses than wins, yes, but with a 54% win rate and a simple 3 game losing streak I should not be getting demoted. I think at least two losses at 0 lp should be required, especially because it takes 4 games (minimum) to get back to 0 lp on the next tier. At the very least, we should start in a series when we get demoted, because even with my win rate I need 2 wins to get to 100 lp and then 2 wins to get to the next tier.

Considering how hard it is to even win your series in the first place, why is it possible to get demoted from one loss at 0 lp? And why are we not immediately put into a series once we get demoted? You should have to be doing pretty bad for a long time in order to get demoted, not to just have a loss streak here and there.
