Sona rework pitch
Here is my idea for a Invoker esque Sona rework that should make Sona much more unique and up her skillcap a bit
Passive: Whenever sona uses an ability she gains a stacking movespeed buff up to a cap.
Q: causes a Wave of musical energy in a set arc in the direction Sona is facing dealing (this spell has a low mana cost and is very spammable like 3.5s cooldown)
W: sends a Wave of musical energy in a 360 AOE around sona healing allies by a small amount (very low cost and spammable like 3.5s cooldown)
E: Changes depending on the last spell combination sona used:
QQ- Sends out a massive wave of energy in the direction Sona is facing that deals great damage (think her current R but without the stun)
WW- AoE speed boost (Live E skill)
QW- sends a intersecting wave of energy forward in the direction Sona is facing (think DNA strand) that slows all targets hit
WQ- Empowers next auto attack to apply a damage reducing debuff. Nearby allies also gain an empowered auto attack but not the damage reducing part.
R "Masterpiece"- When activated Sona begins channeling a melody for 3.5s. Once the melody finishes all nearby allies and Sona gain a MASSIVE decaying movespeed buff,Armor and Magic penetration as well as a large amount of slow resistance . (the effects of this buff fall off over 6 seconds)
Q and W by themselves are very mediocre spells but they are a means to facilitate her E skill which is where Sona's real potential lies. E skill is basically Sona's passive but made into a active skill and given more options. Hopefully because Sona's first Q and W skills are so basic players can really focus on mastering the E ability and memorizing the 4 different effects. Sona's R is basically a teamwide buff that requires teamwork to play around. I can only really best describe it as being akin to the "WAAAGH" towers from Dawn of War 3 that the Orks use to buff troops. Gather around Sona right as she finishes channeling or during and then rush into battle before the effects fall off.
