Possible Ideas About Minor Changes to Increase Kalista's Game Health

Hi everyone, Preface: I am not a pro and if anyone would like to correct, add, or present any other information please do so in the comments. I currently play adc and mid mostly and I have noticed that kalista in particular is problematic, particularly with her passive and how it correlates with attack speed. Currently after a certain point her jumps seem to apply a diminishing return to her attack speed. I understand this is because her kiting is amazing with her passive, but it can put her behind in dps significantly compared to other adcs.

Personally I find this to be a problem as attack speed and critical chance are core parts of most adcs, even jhin utilizes them very well in his own way, but with kalista falling off on attack speed because of her kiting I thought her passive could possibly be adjusted. while mobility is in many adcs kits, their mobility doesn't diminish their damage and commonly enhances it. Kalista however always has her mobility as an option with no cool down.

My proposition, or idea really, was to put demising returns on her jump length with attack speed, but maintaining more (not all) of her attack speed and increasing returns with mobility. This would make it so kalista could still have some diminishing returns in attack speed while jumping, but not as drastic.

For instance, if kalista reaches 2.0 attack speed and has her berserker greaves, currently she will jump a set X distance, but her attack speed is significantly lower than 2 attacks per second. With this idea Kalista would attack closer to 2 attacks per second, however per attack her jumps would be shorter, such as X/2 distance compared to when she is at 1.0 attack speed, so her kiting ability stays relatively the same, probably slightly lower, but her damage will scale similarly to other adcs.

I think this would be good as it curbs her positioning from martial pose either lowering damage ridiculously but she is kiting queen of the world, or better damage but a sitting duck.instead she could be transitioned to better than average kiting, but decent damage and can increase her damage by staying still if she is well positioned in the first place. This adds more context and critical decision making of when to use her martial pose and how someone would want to position her.

I hope no one views this as a call for a buff, I simply think her play style to dps ratios and critical thinking aspects could be tweaked to improve her game health. If you think I am wrong and can explain more to me why please comment as such, as I don't expect everyone to agree with me and it would be good to get more views for both myself and other league players to see.
