Preseason 6 urgot 2.
So. this is a follow up to THAT spastic fit of rage, while that board was me more publicly venting my frustrations, this will be more "eloquent" stupidity.
So any one who's played urgot once, on purpose or got him on an aram that one time, knows that urgot has quite the mana problem, due to his low q cool down of 2 seconds at all ranks, and a 40 mana per cast with the combination of urgots early game mana pool (level one being 312, ten being 738) urgot is known to be one of the most mana hungry champions in the league.
with the removal of the mana pots, many champs have suffered from mana problems, urgot is one of the higher on the list of champions that have sufferd. and while yes there are some mastery's that can help it not be so soul crushing it will still be a huge problem for urgot, for instance the main one that most urgot players (including myself) would spring for is mediation which recovers 1.5% of your mana every 5 seconds, even at level ten which gives urgot 738 mana, that only 11.07 mana every 5 seconds so you can shoot a q one every 20 seconds, sense q is not only most of urgots damage, and one of his most use full farming tools, you are going to be shooting q fairly frequently. SO something many people have suggested to me is just build a mana item first.
If urgot needs to build a mana item first to be viable, this is a problem because the mana items that are currently in the game only 3 of them really scale with urgots kit well, them being
,
, and
all three of which are great mana items, but as the first items to build they are astronomical gold sinks for not so great stats, while urgot is busy trying to over come his crippling mana problems, the other laner is already buying more resists to negate the damage that your doing, getting no damage from the tear, or the little damage your getting from sheen, or more damage negate the armor your getting from glacial shroud, all of which are quite expensive,
being 1000,
being 750 and
being 1050 gold respectively. On top of this if your fighting an magic damage heavy champion urgots base magic resist of 30 (which dose not scale with your level so stays the same the whole game without items) won't be enough to stop them. So almost every mach up is an uphill battle.
