Can we expand the item pings?

(Unless this is just in my case), I've noticed I can't ping stuff like Tear, Hexdrinker, QSS, or any T2 boots. If it isn't just me, can this be changed? In low-elo, where often you find groups of people that don't TAB for builds, I think it'd be nice to be able to ping certain incomplete items.
