How I'm climbing the ladder

I started playing back in season 4 and when I finally reached 30 and could play ranked I was placed Silver 4. I know that's not the best, but since that was where I started I was happy. I took about an 8 month hiatus and just recently came back 2 weeks ago. After doing my prelims for season 5 I was placed Bronze 5. I had heard horror stories and witnessed some as I steadily tried climbing my way out.

This morning I just reached Bronze 4 and I know that isn't much, but it is giving me hope. I spent several games trying to figure out the best strategy to get out of B5 and I stumbled upon Sivir. I had never really done ADC before, but I found out that I am decent at it. I'm not the best at CSing or even having the best KDR, but what I have discovered is that in order to get out of B5 it is important to play the objective. If you are ADC you should take the towers and push lanes.

Also, being friendly with teammates and opponents alike can yield wonderful benefits. It's just as the saying goes, "You can catch more bees with honey than with vinegar."

That's just my opinion and experiences with climbing out of B5

I started playing in November, and I ranked after the season had just ended and got Silver II. When I went to place this season, I got Bronze II. I have been stuck between Bronze IV and Bronze II all season. It's very hard to get out because of the mentality of Bronze players I think. I play casually, but I am competitive at nature from being an athlete all my life. I want to win games, and I want to get better every time I play. I constantly watch videos on how to play a champ better, and to pick up on how pros are playing certain champs to attempt to mimic it myself. One of the biggest things I saw improved the quality of the games is to take point and shot call. Before every game I tell my teammates to keep calm and stay positive. Remind them of what kind of comp we have so even if we fall off early, we have a strong late game. If we start to fall behind, I try to remind them we are fine and that we just need more wards, pings, etc. I've had many games where keeping my teammates calm worked well for us because although we were behind, we came back and won the game. So I would definitely say that if you're looking to continue to progress, stay positive and try to focus on the objective of the games, because it's been helping me climb.
