Janna feels quite underpowered

Hello! I know this is probably a really hated topic, however I wanted to bring it up. For the last couple of patches it feels like Riot simply evicted the ADCs and the SUPPs from their lane where they can shine. We have a couple of enchanters that are still shining in the lane but they are also quite weak if we have to compare them to all the damage dealers in the game. At this point I believe that the best course of action will actually be to rework Janna since I think that neither a buff or a nerf is going to fix her. I am aware of the upcoming ADC and Heal & Shield Items buffs which I hope will fix the situation even though I seriously doubt that. Overall the biggest issue that I have with Janna at the moment is 1st her E cooldown. For a simple shield like that that doesn't do anything else than giving some ad to the receiver, I think is too much to be on 18 sec cooldown. The second problem that I have with her is that Riot is trying to make her an aggressive laner, which is not quite so bad but with her current kit it doesn't work. Everything in her current kit is there to protect and disengage. The only offensive ability that she has is her W which in my opinion isn't enough for aggressive lane bully. I don't mind being aggressive with Janna. Man I actually have alot of fun while poking the enemy ADC and making them suffer. The problem in my opinion is that you don't really have a choice when it comes to your play-style. Let's take other supports for example. Nami - She can be aggressive and do a great job at protecting at the same time <6 and >6. Even if you play passive you scale like a monster in late game. Soraka - Same as Nami. You can force the enemy under turret but your protective strength is amazing even <6 and >6. To kill somebody they have to kill you first. You get my point. Then we have Janna She can be played aggressive and she is strong at it, however <6 her defective power is Horrible! Even if you play passive as Janna you still struggle to protect the person that you are laning with. >6 you might succeed in protecting that carry but it's still a pain if you are already on the losing part. And also all the other supports seem to be able to shine even on the losing side while with Janna.. If you lose the lane you pretty much lose the game. In general my point here is that all the other supports are good at what they are supposed to do. Imagine Zyra with low damage output.. she would be pretty much useless. I am not saying that Janna is useless or anything, but in my opinion she can do better than that. And if Riot wants to make her an aggressive laner, they just have to rework her cause her whole kit is designed to protect. Of course you can always flash and ult to insect somebody (which is sick) but you technically wasted an ult which you might need after that. I don't know. Tell me what you think. Is Janna in a good spot? Do you want to see her buffed/nerfed or do you think that a rework is the only way out of this? (At least if a rework is the case, we might finally see a better visual model for the wind "goddess" xD) [slayer-jinx-catface]

  1. One she is still good
  2. She has been so broken in the past being in a relatively balanced spot makes her feel weak when she isn't
  3. Enchanters are getting their items buffed so here comes +15% playrate and +53% Janna again, sonI guess Inhave to ban her everygame again. Just like every season prior to season 8 yuppie, fun.

She really isn't. She's currently sitting at a 51% wr and the buff to item 3114 item's / celerity will be enough to make her a decent pick

She isn't that bad. You just have to play her W max aggressive style now or you will lose lane 100%.

She's still got a decent winrate/pickrate. Also, most enchanter / mage supports are in a weaker spot right now, namely Janna Lulu Nami& Morgana.

I would just say to give it time. Janna still has a bunch of potential and has been one of the most picked/prominent supports since her release.
