Dear Riot: Please stop deleting my item sets
I don't really know where to write this on the riot boards, there is no game suggestions board, nor is there a "whining goes here" board, so here goes.
Dear riot,
Please, please, PLEASE stop deleting my item sets :(. I can't even count the number of times I've rebuilt them. It's SO annoying! I realize you do this to fix issues with items that you've added/removed in patches, but there has to be a better way than blanket deletion of all item sets on every change! Most of the time the changes don't even effect my builds!
I make the item sets because I like to have a good list of items and situational items that make sense on a champion at my fingertips without having to search the store. This gets me back onto the battlefield faster, and I feel like I lose small, but precious amounts of XP and farm when I have to search the store for what I want rather than just going through my pre-made item page.
Since I play a lot of solo/duo queue, I have to have a primary champion I play in each role, and at least one, but more realistically two backups/anti-counter champions to play in each role as well. This means I have to spend about half an hour to an hour (because I've become fairly proficient at it now) re-building item sets after every patch to get any use out of the feature.
So, here are some suggestions to fix the issue (they do not build on one another), rather than me just whining about it:
- Only delete item sets if they contain items that have been deleted.
- Make it so that the game disables item sets rather than deleting them if they contain items that have been deleted or modified (or just blanketly disable them all, that's fine too as long as you stop deleting them!) then allow players to re-activate them once they review them.
- Remove items that have been removed from the game from the item sets, and leave the rest of the set intact.
- If you have to delete/modify/disable a player's item sets, make a pop-up for them the first time they enter the game from patching, so they don't have to figure out that their item sets are gone after they've already started a game.
Thanks,
Jrud
