Nunu rework idea!

Willump, Nunu's yeti, is clearly based on the legends of Sasquatch. Just like the legend of Bigfoot, Nunu is clearly outdated (sorry Marshall from How I met your mother). A rework is in the works for him. Here's my little pitch for how I envision him after rework (I don't have any intention of making this a reality, but Riot, take anything you want from it).

First of all, what is Bigfoot known for? Footprints! The premise of bigfoot is that he lives in the great wild, and all you see are footprints of his existence. I think this can be incorporated into his kit in a seamless way that makes it more rewarding to look for Nunu, and to keep him in your sights.

So here's his unique passive, called The search for Willump:

Willump leaves a footprint behind every 30 seconds. This footprint points in the direction Nunu is currently running in. When Nunu is unseen by the enemy, he gains a stacking movement speed buff for up to 30 seconds. If Willump stands on his footprint for 5 seconds, he gains the maximum movement speed buff right away, and covers his tracks. The movement speed buff lasts until Nunu is seen for more than 10 seconds by the enemy team at once. The enemies will not see the footprints through fog of war.

The movement speed buff is comparable to the effects of mobility boots passive.

This passive allows Nunu to be a very fast jungler that runs from camp to camp like a, well, yeti. He can also counterjungle very effectively, being able to dodge in and out of the enemy's jungle in a hurry. Warding Nunu's camps can make him slow again, if he stays in camp radius for more than 10 seconds. This allows for a very interesting dynamic where keeping Nunu in your sights and warding against him is very effective.

Next up, his Q, Chilly Crunch:

This ability allows Nunu to take a bite out of anything, but deals bonus damage to monsters. This is what Nunu's Q should have been from the start in my opinion. It allows Nunu to take it early to clear the jungle, but it's also useful in ganks. The healing portion will only work on minions and monsters.

Now for his W, which is a mini version of his ultimate. Basically, Nunu channels for up to 2 seconds. He creates a field around him, slowing enemies. The slow intensifies the longer someone is inside his field. When he presses the button again or after 2 seconds, the storm explodes, dealing a medium amount of damage (not nearly as much as his current ultimate), applying a frozen debuff on them, allowing his next basic attack to deal extra % bonus health damage and slowing them 20% for 1 second.

The W is his zoning tool. As a tank, he needs to get into the middle of the enemy team and be disruptive, or block off escape paths in ganks. This allows him to do that. Remember, stuns will still cancel the effects, but the debuff is still applied.

His E ability is basically the same, but instead of a point and click ability, it can be thrown at an area, dealing area of effect damage, and the range is a bit longer. It still damages and applies a slow.

This allows Nunu to be useful even in poking situations. It's not the fastest thrown projectile, so you will need to use it wisely.

His ultimate ability allows him to stampede around for 8 seconds, refreshing his passive in plain sight, giving him immunity to lose it for the duration, and all his abilites apply the frozen debuff.

His ultimate may seem a bit underwhelming at first, but that's the point. He shouldn't have to rely on it all the time, but used at the right moment, it will have a huge impact. It's basically his W, except for the attack speed part, which didn't make sense for a caster tank type champion. Also, he's a jungler, not a support, so having an ability that is only half as good when not used on the team's adc, seems a bit redundant.
