Caitlyn's Headshot Damage Does Not Match the Patch Notes

I was excited upon seeing the buffs to Caitlyn for the 8.13 mid-patch balance update. Before her headshot did 50% (+100% of your crit chance) total AD. Now it does 50%-100% (+150% of your crit chance) total AD according to the patch notes. However when I went in the practice tool with her to run some damage numbers, she did not do that much. Let me explain.

With no crit whatsoever and runes that do not give any ad, at Level 18 Cait has 107 AD. A headshot here does 107 damage to a practice dummy, who has 100 armor that reduces damage by 50%. Her passive tooltip at this point says that it will do +100% of your total AD as bonus damage, so this is correct.

Next I gave her 100% crit chance. Based on the patch notes, with a guaranteed crit she does 107*2=214 since her auto crits, +100%+150% (or +250%*107) for the headshot. So 214+267.5=481.5. Divide that by 2 and you get ~241 damage when you round the decimal.

Except this doesn't happen. In fact her tool tip does not even show +250% like it should. Instead it shows +225%, and the numbers match up, with you ending up with 227 damage at the end. In addition, her tooltip seems to show that regardless of how much crit she has, it is applying a 125% modifier on how much crit chance she has rather than the 150% it should be, or even the 100% that it was before. Keep in mind, this is with her having no bonus AD, as a triple crit build would have in it, so in reality she misses out on more than just the 14 damage difference that I have tested.

This is an issue I wanted to bring to the attention of Riot, as it does have a decent effect on her damage output.

tl;dr: Both the tooltip and actual damage of caitlyn's headshot have a higher scaling with crit than it was before, but is still lower than what the patch notes say it should be.

Her tooltips are wrong in game. The change was made server side so the tooltips will not be corrected until next patch.

Remember the training dummies have 100 armor.

Try it in a custom game vs a friend.
