Playing in High Gold

So the other day I got a remarkable offer from a friend to play on one of his high gold accounts to see how I do. I am currently a Bronze 2 Sejuani player with about 80 games played, last season (my first season) I peaked silver 3. Whenever I play ranked I feel hardstuck and unable to move from my rank, I know that I only have roughly 80 games played and not many on my main champ, but I always feel that I could do better than bronze, and make it back to silver. After my friend gave me the chance to play in high gold I realized that I could do a lot better than silver this season. I had started at Gold 2 when I began playing on the account, and in one weeks time i found myself at gold 1 68 LP. I may have just had a lucky streak of games, but how come I find myself playing in my own elo after experiencing gold I find myself just feeling hardstuck again?

Elo Hell I guess Also, shout out to Eric thx dude

There is a difference between playing in an elo and carrying in an elo. You likely have some skills of a gold level player, but not all of them. This means you can play in gold without inting, but you will not carry yourself there unless you get lucky or improve those other skills. This is the same reason people complain every season when they drop divisions in placements and can't carry themselves out.
