I remember when I enjoyed this game.

Now every time I'm asked to play it, I find the most mundane things such as sitting down in one spot watching an anime more enticing.

My first multiplayer game scene came from Instant action, which hosted several games such as: Rokkitball Marble Blast Ultra Think Tanks ZAP! Ace of Aces and my two top favorites, Galcon and Fallen Empire: Legions.

I loved playing with other people, especially since I wasn't so social in real life. Games were my comfort zone, and knowing games were waiting at home for me, made me happy.

I then progressed through other games -> Adventure Quest Worlds -> Transformice -> Eden Eternal -> Call of Duty 4. After being a CoD player for a while, my squad mates got me interested in League and I LOVED it, the graphics weren't the best at the time but to me it was perfect. There was skill, outplays, clutch games and most importantly, strategy. Those 45+ minute games were you talked with your team, "Do this, do that if they do this do that, GROUP!" Fighting those 1-minute team fights, backing off and re-engaging. Then finally pulling the rug over the enemy team to win the game. It was exhilarating as much as it was exhausting. But I always came away with a win feeling like apart of an army who just successfully beat their enemy with an in-depth strategic plan.

Then League went down a strange path throughout the years. You see coming from an MMORPG background, I'm used to a party class system. We go in the dungeon with a set range of classes. A tank to generate malice or aggro, one or two healers a mage, a range, and an assassin and in league it was slightly similar. However lately, it just seems this game is centered around a few champs (Well at least at my elo)

Akali Camille Irelia Jhin Pyke Viktor

And it's just...damage. Back in my day people would dodge or flame if we didn't have a tank. "OMG, we need a tank. What are you guys doing?!" Now, it's just pick Akali, get FB and pretty much GG. Tanks are basically just fat people who have some CC these days which don't help because somewhere in their kit, these damage dealers can effectively dodge or negate the CC while still pumping tons of damage out.

These days, I sit and play league with a straight face, because it's either we stomp and win or...we get stomped on and lose. No strategy, no intense balls gripping moments. More, "That actually hit me? Did she just one shit me?" "How is this happening." "This is expected." Just look at botlane, where you expect to find ADCS and supports you now find weird combos of assassins/bruisers who look to get easy dark harvest stacks.

I don't know who they're catering to with this onslaught of damage and I am no means a game expert with all those mathematic equations. Over 100 champions, yet a small percentage are played, simply because they're what win games.

I'm just an upset and disappointed player.
