Thornmail Rework Idea

My idea is to have a base "thorny plate" item which builds into 2 variations similar to last whisper.

Thorny plate would build out of 2 cloth armors and 500 gold. Gives 50 armor and a passive like thornmail but maybe weaker.

Then it would build into 2 different items for example "Lord Thorn's Headplate" or "Sandals of the 5 Thorns" which both give armor and a unique passive but different. Maybe one would be better against damage stackers and the other against on-hitters like Yi.
