SUPPORT NEEDS TO BE MORE REWARDING

Have you ever bounced around while seeking a team for Summoner's Rift?

I don't know any real statistics, but it really seems as though we wait for a Support position more than ANY OTHER, on average.

Support is my least favorite position, personally, so I understand the mentality of playing more for the glory. ;)

But to compensate for an obvious lack of Support players, shouldn't there be a bit more incentive to play Supp? (Ward skins, champ skins, borders, summoner icons... perhaps special Runes or Masteries that could only be unlocked from playing Support).

This would really help balance the team structures and definitely speed up the wait-time for matchmade games.

Let me know what you guys think

winning games is enough reward

I think it because all of the things that make a support good are not directly rewarded. The announcer never gives a notification that says "Your ward saved your junglers life!" and a lot of plays you make don't actively do anything noticeable but rather you are opening doors up for your team mates to make a play and it can be frustrating when you land that perfect stun or block that skill shot or get that amazing engage and have your team not notice your work and capitalize on it. Doesn't matter how many time soraka heals if the ADC never autos.

you see i fully supported this discussion, i also disagreed with it, but then i read your poll options and well youre immature now. i dont hate your opinion i mearly disagree with it. i dont want to have a thousand "support mains" in all my games just to get these special things. i also dont think they deserve it. its like giving black people a free home because they're "a minority"

I don't have to wait whenever I queue up Team Builder when I do Support. That's a pretty nice incentive. Though I do seem to join plenty of groups that end up waiting three or more minutes on an ADC.

-1 for the pathetic attempt to be funny on the poll

And no there is no lack of support mains
