Placement games are so lopsided.

I am either steam rolling or getting steam rolled. Does match making no apply with that magical "hidden MMR"? 3 of 8 so far and two losses due to all my lanes feeding or getting fed from the start. Each game was 7-0 team wise by 5 minutes. There feels like there's no rhyme or reason to the match making.
