Talon Jungle: Why it should be supported and how to do it

The Talon rework did a good job of making him fairer and interesting. Even if his balance isn't perfect yet, he should be pretty easy to tweak a bit to make him fair and balanced. His new parkour ability is really fun. So fun, that it makes it very appealing to try jungling with him.

I think that riot should try to deliberately support Talon jungle, for several reasons. First of all, his e ability is really now the most distinctive and interesting thing about him. He is the parkour Champion now. This ability functions best in the jungle, and gives him a interesting and unique set of jungle paths and a very distinctive feel.

Secondly, Riot has made it clear that they want to see more variety in the jungle. There there are many bruisers that work, in very similar ways, and anything that is different and unique is a breath of fresh air and should be encouraged.

Thirdly, assassins specifically are an entertaining role to come out of the jungle but there is currently a shortage of good jungle assassins. Kha'zix and rengar are about it.

And finally, the more champions are able to play multiple roles, the more variety there is in general, so multiple roles should be generally encouraged when possible.

Talon is already playable in the jungle, but with just a little bit of support he could be solid and viable, as opposed to niche and tricky. Making a change to do this would be very easy. My main suggestion would be to allow his passive to activate on all large monsters in the jungle, not just epic monsters. That would give his clear a little more speed and safety. If testing indicates that this is too much of a buff, the passive could be made only 50% effective against large monsters, or something along those lines. That would be a simple and elegant solution to make Talon jungle more viable without at all impacting his laning for better or worse.
