The new sion changes, why they are retarded, and why I demand my sion skin refunded.

Please don't claim you are updating a champion to be more competitive when what you are really doing is completely wrecking a champion. It seems like you made efforts, but here is why your "update" not only fails at your own lore, but also fails on a gameplay level. I played sion regularly before the update. Here is the list of champions he did well against: Nasus Yasuo Garen All ADC Leona Blitz Any fighter or tank not on the following list

Champions that wrecked me: Darius Jarvan Mages.

Here is who I do well against post update after trying several different builds: Nobody. Here are the champions I lose to by only a marginal amount: Jarvan until late game at which point he rocks me. Nasus Yasuo Here are the champions that take a steaming dump all over sions face: Garen Mages ADCs. Any tank that isn't Leona. Darius

In summary, you took a champion that did well against a number of difficult to lane against carries, reworked him, and now he is probably better as a support than as a top lane or a jungle. Let me explain WHY your changes suck.

The old Sion had a passive that reduced incoming physical damage, a stun that always landed, a nice shield, and a phys damage boost that also passively earned hp. The ultimate boosted attack speed and lifesteal, particularly the lifesteal, by huge amounts.

The way that played out against melee champions top lane is you could keep them off the farm by taking a level of stun and maxing E. When they came in to last hit you would hit them, stun them, and then hit them once or twice more. This usually meant a damage output on your side of the exchange in the 2-300 range. More if you managed to get shield off on them. Any damage they were doing with basic attacks was often greatly reduced by your passive. Any damage they did with timed attacks could be disrupted with the stun which could let you hit them more or run away. Whatever. This stun could be used to engaged with ranged champions, or to run, and it always hits so as long as its up you have options. The passive REALLY helps if you build tanky against phys damage champs. In fact, against an all phys team, a sion with ninja tabi, thornmail, lifesteal and attack speed, it would usually take 3 champions to kill you without losing someone on the other side. If they only sent two, you had a shot at beating them both, depending on the champion. There were of course some HARD counters for sion, like darius, but you would solve that problem by never picking sion into darius.

The new sion build has a high damage q that you never really get the benefit of, but it does have a fairly reliably short ranged slow. The new W is EXCELLENT, it shields, scales with AP AND HP, and gives damage that scales with enemy HP. It also helps passively build your own hp, but at a muted rate compared to the old passive increase. The new E isn't bad. On other champions it might be downright good. But it DOESNT give you really solid AD, and what it does give you is a slow that misses more than I would like because it is a skill shot, and not one that moves very fast. Its nice that you gave sion two slows. The problem is that he REALLY needed that stun. The biggest problem is the new ult and the new passive. If you just reverted those things would be much better. The new passive doesn't help you while you are alive. Not one bit. So, if, before, a fight would have been close, now you lose. Best case scenario, you lose and then kill the other guy. You still die though. Also, it has this nasty little delay before it brings you back up. It would be nice if your HP bar just went all red or something the instant you hit zero, but because you wind up laying there motionless, people have time to get away, and your hp drains all the way down before you ever get to use the passive. The new ult is FUN, but it doesn't help you stay alive at all. It does VERY modest damage, wont help you tower, wont help you beat those two guys picking you apart, its really only useful to help counterdive a lane. Also, its hard to land. The ult needs to function differently. You should be able to steam EVERYTHING, champions included, and the stun occurs where you stop the ult. That way if you want to blow right past the enemy champs and get them to chase, you just keep on going. Champ collision should be handled the same as creep collision in other words.

Congratulations, you have wrecked a champion responsible for the lions share of my quadra and penta kills while simultaneously claiming you were updating him so he was viable again. For proof of how sion players agree with me, I will add a poll below.

I like how the only three people that have voted like his new kit more than the old one.

Can you honestly sit there and say that a champion who had an incredibly (and I mean horribly) polarized kit was a good thing? He was not you could do a little AP and a little AD, you could do one or the other, and both had serious issues.

AP Sion: He had a targeted CC nuke which requires no skill other than being able to press a button. There's no way to fight it as it just happens. Riot's been going against targeted CC for a while now and for good reason. His other ability was the shield. That was actually kinda interesting I guess. Did he care about E? Eh. Sure he would pick it up last, but he could honestly probably play without it and be largely the same. He had absolutely no ult. Why was AP Sion allowed to be just as good as champions with 4 abilities when he had an ult that was worthless? He shouldn't. And then you compound the whole thing that he made absolutely no sense! Why was an undead warrior who was prided at the frontlines of battle with his massive axe playing as a mage? He was always envisioned as a tanky AD bruiser type champion but due to how they designed champions back when the game started and how things have changed he's somehow a mage. Same issue as Yi had for building mage.

AD Sion: Had the E which is completely passive on both abilities, not even requiring an activation like Yi's does. He had his ult too, but guess what, that's another completely passive ability. At least it makes you hit a button I guess. Shield was worthless and easily last pick for him, and the stun required 1 point to be as useful as it was going to be. He could say screw it to like 9 ability points and do his thing. 2 passive abilities does not make for a fun, interesting kit. It makes for a boring ball of stats that either wins because he outstats you or doesn't. There's no decision making there.

Targeted stuns, random passives that are completely invisible even when they do work, and being able to play with 1.5 buttons are not things you should expect to ever see and I'm glad they finally removed old Sion for all those reasons.

So... by changing a binary, skilless playstyle to something that requires skill... they ruined him?

Sorry bud, can't agree with you here, old sion was not fun to play or play against.

I cannot agree with anything you have said. I have noticed Sion is banned a lot now. Not because is he particularly strong but because people do not know how to play him. Eventually, people will learn how to play Sion again and everything will be fine. His kite and play style requires more skill than before. It might be possible that is why you are struggling.
