Hey Im just your average Joe player. Recently I've been starting to play rank games again after a long break from them.( I felt like I need to improve my playstyle and mechacanics before hoping into rank again). Im just looking for people's opnions on climbing rank as a top laner especially bronze. Are tanky champs preferable or would chamos like akali or yas preform better in bronze. And especially which champs would preform better in bronze games, champs that scaled into late game or champs the dominate and destroy early game.

The champs I feel the most confortable playinf rn in rank games is Jax, Renekton,Garen , Kled

Looking for your opinions?

And I any body out there is willing to help me improve through posibble discord chats that be nice. IGN- MasterOfM

As someone who spent 500 games in bronze season 5, then got out in 30 games in season 6 spamming Garen, I can say play Garen, and he is stronger than he was then too.

My previous ranks Season 5: Silver 4 Season 6: Gold 5 (Garen tied for most played champ this year in ranked) Season 7: I am Currently Silver 1.

Reasons to play him:

  1. He is almost never banned
  2. His ult lets you get the most free kills (and you can tilt the heck out of your enemy if you spam it on 1 guy)
  3. He wins most trades top, especially since he can heal it all off really fast, and bronzies typically cant trade properly.
  4. Most people in bronze don't know how to deal with him/ dont know how to kite in general.
  5. Out of your list he is the most mechanically braindead to play, which means harder to make mistakes.

I'm down for discord tho. IGN - CrossEffect

Renekton, the King of Top Lane

Go 18/12/0 for extra damage/cheese (its not recommended in guides but its so powerful for early kills)

Out-trade and kill the Top laner a few times (watch out for Ganks though). Then split push and take Tier 1 and Tier 2. Then group up with your team and damage tank your way to victory (tactically diving carries and generally soaking up damage safely). They will generally focus the tank in Bronze and let you win. If your team is bad and a few team fights go wrong, go back to Splitting.

Generally Cleaver into Tiamat and then into Full Tank is the way to go (go complete Hydra second if incredibly fed).
