Tristana's Ult Breaks 3v3 when losing

I have been playing Twisted Treeline to get better with my favorite champ, Tristana, and while I was in game, losing, I noticed something. While in my own base the enemy was destroying our nexus. I thought well why not and jumped down in front of an enemy champ and was planning to ult him into the wall. Why not? So I jumped down, I ulted, and the target champ flew through the wall and into my base, dieing instantly. I at first thought this was a just a glitch but then I did it again, and again. So what I would like to know is if any of you have ever seen this or done this. It's pretty funny to watch.
