Thanks Riot for making the worst meta, again.

Finally, now i can play Chogath again and one shot every squishy with one button while i take zero damage. I dont even need to play assassins, they get nerfed into oblivion anyway. Who needs Rengar ,Leblanc ,Khazix ,Nocturne ,Zed or Talon who build zero defense and need a brain to play, when you just can play tanks who kill carrys in 2 - 3 seconds (except Chogath because this champ is just stupid) , doesn't die and dont need any mechanics at all.

But seriously now. I dont know why Riot always makes the same mistake and force a tank meta. Tanks are the most frustrating things to face if you dont have anything to kill or kite them. The game gets slow and boring with those 5 mins teamfights with 3 tanks on each side. I had some hope after the tank rework to fix the problem that tanks have, but it didn't do anything. It was even more worse after that with perma cc Zac, stack E in brush one shot Maokai and i have 200 armor and mr without items Sejuani. Its ok that those champs are viable and get more play again, but facing them is a pain.

Right now the six best junglers with the highes winrate are tanks, and after that some more bruiser type champs. That is not bad at all, but lets face the facts. Tank jungler always have better powerspikes then other damage focused junglers. Most of the time you just need one armor item and you can tank a tower without any problems. The fact that tank items are cheaper then damage items doesn't make it any better.

Lets compare it : item 14002625 gold item 14022625 gold item 14012425 gold

Warrior : Gives damage and cdr Runic : Gives damage, ludens effect and movespeed Cinderhulk : Gives health + bonus health, sunfire effect and "Damage"

While most of the tanks have some kind of health scaling on their abilities cough Chogath , they get a bigger powerspike for 200 less gold.

I guess everyone remembers the item 3068 item 3025 item 3065 meta. Those 3 items were core on every tank back then. Even on less tankier champs, because those items were so cheap with such big powerspikes. Health, cdr, mana, damage, waveclear and utility in only 3 items.

I wrote this thread because i dont want this to happen again. No one wants to play against this, and i hope riot reads this and think about it. I leave a poll at the end to ask you what you think about the current direction of the meta.

Thanks for giving me your time and feedback.

I like the tank meta. The Tank, as a class, is similar to ADC and Support. You can have teams without a Marksman, sure, but the meta, regardless of current champions and whatnot, is almost always going to gravitate to involving a marksman somewhere, because DPS is so important in any game. Even when ADC's are weak, they are still played and used regularly, because they provide very valuable DPS to a team. And almost every team will need a support because they help cover the weaknesses of champions. If there is any meta where teams lacking a tank, support, or marksman are succeeding, I think that would be an example of a bad meta. Exceptions would include other high DPS champions like Cassiopeia sort of taking the role of the marksman, and tanks in other lanes can act as supports alleviating the need for a true support, just as examples.

And yes, tanks are annoying if you don't have anything to kite or kill them. Just like assassins are annoying if you have nothing to disengage or kill them, just like ADC's can be annoying if you have nobody who can reach their range. Every class has strengths, but they all have weaknesses too.

Cho'gath is a horrible champion though I think everyone agrees on that, I think they are just letting cho have his minute in the lime light before they nerf him.

My opinions at least.

I can't say that I'm too put off with the current META. Before the tank Meta I was an Ekko main. I loved Ekko and still do, you just can't get as much done with him anymore as say a Maokai. Then again that's the beauty of League. I like the fact that the META changes. It forces you to learn as a more rounded player. It encourages you to reach beyond 3 basic champions over years of play.

Ya... the tank META can be annoying, but then again the ADC's became the biggest joke of 2017 during the assassin META. We all go through our frustrations. And its not like there are not any champions or build paths that can't counter even a team of tanks. I'm looking at you bloodrazor... BORK... Liandry's Torment... SS Vayne... Red Kayn... Trundle... Trundle... Trundle...

The bottom line is Riot needs a nice change in META to keep a healthy champion rotation. We all do. Its what keeps the game interesting.

Don't pay it too much mind mate. It will be another class's turn eventually. For the moment enjoy becoming a better player and learning how to play with what you have.

Cho isn't going to 1-shot unless you gave him multiple free stacks on barons/dragons and/or champions. That or he is like 4 levels ahead of you and multiple items ahead - in which case you would have already lost regardless of who said enemy was; no cho required. Secondly, cinderhulk alone is actually maybe the weakest jungle item. It is only after getting multiple more hp+durability items that this item becomes of use. Thirdly, cho requires as much skill as the average lee sin player. Your abilities other than ult and e (melee range only) are skillshots which are easily dodged unless you are slowing the target with your e. You are less tanky than other tanks due to no innate sustain other than killing a target, you are much easier to kite, you have no defensive synergy with your abilities compared to someone like malphite, and you are a walking health fountain for anyone with lifesteal whom you can't 1-shot either due to shields, cc, and/or kiting. Because your "tankiness" comes from hp stacking, you die much more quickly to enemies with %hp damage than other tanks - even when you have 1500 more hp than them. If cho is unkillable, it's because one or more people on your team screwed up REPEATEDLY VERY, VERY hard.
