Why Is Teleport/Smite Underplayed?

Statistically, teleport/smite is played just over 0.2% of games. Albeit, I didn't expect teleport to be picked more often than flash, I still expected that teleport would be picked a lot more than only 1/500 games. These statistics are from Udyr, who I think would benefit more from teleport than other junglers, due to Phoenix Stance and the current Runic Echoes.

Teleport allows you to gank, counter, pressure, and increase your overall presence. Not to mention split pushing, and the fact that most players can improve decision making to reduce flash usage even further. While I'm not trying to argue that it's a better spell than flash, I think it deserves a lot more than 0.2% of games for its usefulness.

From personal experience, I've had almost a 90% win rate with teleport smurfing bronze, losing only due to AFK's. Of course, this data cannot be generalized to all divisions, for reasons such as lack of map awareness, prominent in bronze.

If you run teleport/smite you are asking to get cheesed in your jungle extremely early. Especially if you are against UdyrNidaleeKindredShacoLeeSin

You claim to have a 90% win rate with teleport/smite, yet your overall win rate is 44%. Why do you play anything else if your winrate is so much better with teleport/smite ??

The reason people don't use teleport/smite much is because unless you're a farming jungle, why are you in any rush to get there? You don't need to defend anything, or get anywhere, except dragon/baron. I would only really want this if I was facing a counter jungler (Not duelist, counter jungler.) like nunu, who can steal your camps. However, if somebody invades you and tries to kill you, how is teleport going to save you. I would love to hear. That is why most junglers will bring flash, and not teleport. Hope this offered a bit of clarification on the subject.
