So it would be nice if riot could potentially track where accounts are made from from a isp's ip or mac address limiting it to one account, I know its impossible but wishful thinking, like every game it seems I run into a couple smurfs and I'm sick of it, like why ruin others experience in ranked because u cant handle your supposed plat elo, its annoying as fuck its like we have a little hurdle to climb then u guys show up ihn mobs and now that hurdle transformed into a fucking boulder because u fuck up ppl who cant handle it and carryt the game, like yes u guys are good but your just making it harder for the people actually in that elo, probably gonna get down voted but h8onestly don't give a fuck.

I do it because it is fun. If you are seeing it in silver then that smurf probably isn't that good yet so it shouldn't be too much of a problem unless they aren't smurfing and are instead boosting - then it is an issue.

Plus smurfs will climb up to their true elo relatively quickly and be out of your hair in no time.

You are at silver 2 with 500 games and want that Gold, I get it. You've played so many games you feel that you deserve it, I get that too. But don't blame the losses on smurfs, just look for ways to improve. Go through your ranked stats, you have a few champions you have good stats with - go spam them until the winrate evens out - I can just about guarantee you'll climb to gold if you do that. Spam talon, spam garen, spam nocturne, spam wukong. Until their win rates are under 60% keep playing them. There are better things you can do to get yourself to Gold than post threads about how smurfs ruin days.

I dont think the smurf are hurdles ill stomp them smurfs just as hard in lane i dont care. For diamond plus i get it the long que times and shit but anyone else going smurf it isn't even neccesary.

I almost never get beaten in my selected lane, provided the opponent doesnt have a hardcounter and even then i can usually turn things into a farmlane or help my team elswhere'. Wheter i play vs a smurf or not makes no difference i don't find them particularly harder to play against. The exceptions being dia3+ players they seem a tad more difficult but i dont encounter them all that often. And when they beat you thats when you can learn new things too.

Every smurf up to dia4 i totally dont give a shite about.

Now what bothers me about smurfs is that they mess up the ranking system so much. So many bad player get carried into higher tiers where they ruin the gameplay for alot of other players. Not to mention they wont have much fun playing vs these on average better opponents. This random boosting is toxic to the ranking system and messes up ppl's true mmr which means the system can't provide good matchmaking.

We all encounter this. We all know these guys whom are 0/15/1 in 20 minutes and don't seem to be able to perform with knowledge or skill at the level they are at. Ofc some of these are actually boosted players but alot of them can also be just randomly boosted by smurfs.

This turns silver gold and plat into 1 tier instead of 3 and you randomly get decent or bad players from far above to far under your current level of skill.

the sad part is, plat isnt any better. We are like the bullies who pick on the younger kids cause we got a C+ in the special ed class, but you got like a D-, so we think we are better, but actually we have the Diamonds and Masters smurfing in plat who are bascially those kids that always get A's and everyone hates them, so we are just resorting to a lower standard of living.

Or something like that.

im pretty sure nobody actually smurfs because they "cant win in their elo" because the chances of them playing so many games to say "yeah ok i suck ima play in this other elo" because nobody admits they suck. Also you shouldnt be crying about smurfs especially plats since in your gold/silver games plat players are basically the same anyways. They still suck ass at the game so it doesn't effect you that much at all :P
