Dynamic queue did introduce a lot of problems when it was first released, I am not going to lie about that. But I will say that Riot has improved it a lot. I rarely find myself going up against the 3-5 man pre-made which is a lot better compared to when it was first released, back then it would pretty much be every other game. I am still disappointed however. I know people that have been boosted multiple tiers by players who were diamond+ last season and were placed in gold and eligible to play with these people. Ranks were skewed, and I feel like I am the odd man out who actually earned his own ranking, and even through earning my own I still get a little salty when I think about how much progress I have made compared to the people who have been boosted. To me this season's ranking is meaningless. And I think that is the problem with dynamic queue. Sure, I don't like being paired up with people who relentlessly feed, who are negative, who don't know how to play their role, but being a solo queue player to overcome that means that you deserve to progress through ranks. It was the solo queue player who was individually able to carry that was valued in past seasons...this season however that player doesn't mean much. Maybe he is boosting his friends, maybe he is stuck where he was last season, maybe he quit the game. So, maybe its just me, but being matched against those pre-mades isn't my biggest concern with dynamic queue, but rather the fact that ranking is meaningless and skilled individuals have been pushed to the side lines. Hopefully next season we can get yolo queue back.
