i think it will be great, because people tend to AUTOLOCK and cry if you call their role first. so granted all 5 of you know the "meta" pre-picking your champ before que. means everyone gets what they want. and in theory should lead to more competitive games.. or do you think riot has lost their mind and should just stick to blind picks. only downside i can see is longer que times. but so many people play this game... can't be that bad right?

I think it will definitely help the game. Very intuitive on RITO's part.
I excited for this. the only thing i can see going bad is if, say, someone picks top as there primary and jungle as there secondary, then gets placed in jungle. Then, because there higher in the pick order, they decide that there gonna take top anyway. That's my main concern.
Will kind of miss Team Builder being able to just pick X champion right away and assuredly getting that champion. So I think I'll just have to experience it and make my opinions afterwards.
My SO will actually be willing to play league again (& with me) & I really like the idea of it especially since lately I've been wanting to focus on solo lane quinn & I am not picky on top or mid so current TB is a bit awkward since I have to pick one, so I am **very **excited for it.
I'm so hyped for it! Unfortunately I have to wait a little bit longer than you lucky NA people :c
I ultimately will just pick fill most of the time anyways like I do now but I am excited for it so idiots have no more excuses other than being idiots. Played a ranked game recently where we had a player pick

goes top feeds 3 kills then rage quits never to return........... Sadly we probably would have won if he stuck around even though he was a feeding PoS. Hopefully he is enjoying his low prior que now and hopefully a ban :).
I was until they removed team builder. Always liked the option to opt out of comps that were downright terrible and the ability to always get the role I felt like playing / practicing. It's a puzzling choice on their part. Could have kept teambuilder and replaced blind pick. Let sub-30 players use team builder which would help them in the long run.
For those of us who have severe anxiety (which can be remedied with medication, but some of us aren't diagnosed for it, or the medications aren't effective enough to completely rid us of it), it becomes a whole new ball game of nervousness. Now with this game mode I have to choose two roles, when I'm only comfortable playing one. So basically, if I were to choose support/bot, and got bot, the entire game I would be a nervous wreck and CS poorly, would be criticized for it, and not want to play anything but customs or bots for quite a while.
Now, realistically, there are plenty of solutions, such as playing a pre-made, attempting to teach oneself to not be concerned of others' opinions in normals games, or even better yet, just do /mute all to fix some of the anxiety one may naturally get.
I know I sound like a little bitch, but honestly? Love the new champ select visually, hate it functionally.
