Autofill Needs to be removed

I don't think autofill needs to be on Ranked any longer. People are constantly getting roles they cant play and just playing terribly and expect someone to switch with them. It's just becoming annoying at this point as an adc main when support is the most autfilled role and no one can play it because they are forced into it. I would rather wait an extra 2-4 minutes and get someone that can actually play the roles they are given, not someone who gets the role and can potentially lose the game and waste 20-40 minutes. I'm not trying to sound like someone who is whining about losing, but I've gotten a lot more losses recently from people not knowing how to play that role they are given from autofill. At least add a system to it to prevent someone from filling a role they have a low win rate with.

Anyone else have thoughts on the issue?

I feel like most people immediately forgot how bad no role selection is; that is the alternative to no autofill, because removing it isn't a good option. All 5 roles must be filled in order to start a match, but unfortunately it's not a perfect world where each is mained by 20% of the population. They tested a compromise where you could veto a role so you'd never get filled into it, but everyone just vetoed Support and the queue times were horrid; no autofill at all would be even worse than horrid. I'm sorry, but Autofill is a necessary evil. Maybe you've never experienced 4 supp mains and a top main on one team.

I recommend players practice more roles so they are prepared when their turn to fill comes up, or they can swap with someone so the whole team is more comfortable with their roles. This not only gives your team the greatest chance to win, it will improve your ability in your main role by knowing what your teammates are capable of by experience.

Have fun with the 30 minute queues, because all 4 support mains in existance are in a game at the moment xD

Maybe in silver, autofill isn't necessary but in diamond I already get 4-5 min queue times, imagine without autofill that would be (aprox) 7-10 minutes. That's an insanely long time, that I don't want to wait.

Autofill NEEDS changes

Announce clearly show the team who was FILLED. It is ridiculous how many people don't say anything and just play. Then we lose and it is "I was autoflll, never played this before." Just tell one of us AT LEAST. Even when I ask, people don't say anything. Or they troll in lobby.
Autofill should say ALL except X. I know we worry that it means people will dodge Support. But honestly as a support main, I don't mind filling other lanes EXCEPT ADC. I am a terrible ADC and I will literally be splitpushing as ADC all game. I would rather not do that to my team.
Get rid of Autofill in low ELO Seriously like 50% of players are low Silver/Bronze. Is autofill really needed there?
If you trade with autofill, you get protection. / Protection doesn't reset if game is a remake.

I would be fine with Auto Fill being removed if the Support Role didn't exist.

But, in the current game that we play, in order to keep queue times at a decent level, I really like having Auto Fill.

Yes, it forces me to be a little more versatile, but I'm okay with that.

And if I'm not okay with that, I can dodge, losing 3 LP and my MMR completely unaffected AND it satisfies/removes the Auto Fill requirement.
