So I returned to this game after about six years, and one of the things I find just downright weird is all the wonky 'fixes' that seem to have built up over the years without being cleared out. Each of these wonky fixes then complicates things more and requires more wonky fixes. It's weird. Some examples.

Bounty System: You do well, you get kills, your bounty goes up. Then, when the enemy team finally kills you once (which is the statistically likely outcome) they get rewarded for your hard work. This isn't just silly, it's unnecessarily complex. It even allows champs that aren't even behind to collect on that bounty, snowballing them further.

I would think the obvious solution was the original one: gold and exp payment should be based on the level of the champ killed, period. That way if you kill the big champ, you are still getting the bigger piece of gold/xp, but not getting a ridiculous reward for that champ doing well. The separate bounty system on top of this is redundant and harmful to the game.

Another good example of this is the constant tweaks to jg and jg items. I'm probably very rare in this, but back in the day i did not take a jg item or even smite as WW, they weren't necessary. My champ should be farming the jg becuase he/she/it is suited to killing monsters solo well, either through sustain or kite/poke. Making summoner spells mandatory for a roll is silly and not how they were designed. Every other lane can choose two summoner spells, jg must take smite to be able to purchase jg item, and must take jg item to be able to do jg, it's not even pos without it. Then to make it even worse recently they add this jg hunter nonsense. Now you have to take smite, you have to buy jg item, and not upgrading it right away is PAINFUL. What about when one of my laners just goes afk and I cover lane? Do I have to take another loss and sell right away? Too many artificial complications, impossible to balance in the end except by nerfing everything into dirt.

Make sure jg monsters are tough, make sure that they are equivalent to lane cs for same avg farm time, and get rid of all these other messy requirements. Now you have required jg item, required smite for it, and the jg monsters xp and gold area ll messed up in a constant attempt to fix created problems. This last patch jg has been insane: I have been in games where I have 7+ kills, no deaths, the enemy team is at 0 kills, and I am still sometimes 1 -2 levels below enemy mid or top? How can that even be possible when I am farming these same champions? JG xp broken.

Finally, Riot finally gave up on weird matchmaking stuff recently, and the changes were obvious. Since last patch, I have not been autofilled a single time. Each time I hit enter match, I get the usual timer of around 1:30, but then I usually get a match in less than five seconds. As soon as they took out all the wonky stuff, their hundreds of thousands(millions?) of players took care of the rest, now it works much better and faster.

Riot, I would say please: Kill the bounty system, it's redundant, it's dumb, it rewards people for playing poorly, not competitive. If I wanted game assistance, I would play that Mario Kart game that always helps the loser catch up.(hint no one liked that one it was dumb)

Kill the jg item requirements, all of them. I'm tired of having to buy jg item and constantly manage this curse each game.

Fix jg monster xp, for real.
