A serious question specifically for @GhostCrawler

So I recently saw a response of yours to a pretty toxic thread and I applaud you for your work ethic and sense of responsibility regardless of the hate (both the deserved criticisms and the memes alike).

However this brought a question to my mind I've been thinking for a while, and I feel you're the right person to ask this to.

> That said, if you're not happy with any aspect of League, I am more than happy to take the blame for it. It is my job to set up a system by which good design decisions get made, so when they aren't being made, that is my problem to fix, even if I don't have context on every decision that gets made. -GhostCrawler

There has seemed to be a general discontent with the game and the decisions being made more this season than any other. Heck, there's still SoloQ posts every single day topping the boards because of how people are upset over just one thing. But that's just an example.

As the person who feels, and is, responsible for the overall direction, balance, and holistic design of League... Do you feel that there are still great steps to be taken in improving communication between Riot and the players?

Personally I do, because the biggest issues, from SoloQ to tank Ekko to Zed being extremely anti-fun to play against, all stem mostly from the handling of the problems, and not the problems themselves. The SoloQ debacle got as big as it did and still is because of how cheated players felt and still feel with the inferred "band-aid" fixes of badges. Whenever a rioter hops on to discuss Zed, it's always talked about balance, when 90% of player's gripes are about his anti-fun kit, not the balance of it.

Another example is how Riot always uses statistics to back up your claims, but you rarely if ever release the raw, uninterpreted data. That just seems shady and manipulative to players, regardless of the intent you guys might have.

I know when I usually post on here it's mostly the same subject ( communication ), but that's because I feel it is probably what will lead to this game succeeding as a sport into the next generation, or fading as every other game has before it. Completely open and honest dialogue between Riot and its playerbase. That little bit of extra effort makes 100% of the difference, because even if people disagree with you at least they will understand your reasoning and respect your honesty.

Right now it just feels a little shady and manipulative, and that's changed from League's original beginnings.

Thank you for spending the time to read this wall of text, and I appreciate it. If you read this @GhostCrawler, then I'd love to hear back from you on here or privately if you have the time, I love discussing all things game design and game industry.

Peace :D [slayer-jinx-catface]

Edit: If you're going to downvote me without a response, I'd prefer a response so we could discuss it. I feel that would be more productive and we could bring more people into this conversation. Thanks!
