"Affirmative action is racism towards everyone involved."

I ask, "are you the type to say that the cure to a disease shouldn't be poisoning your patients, deliberately injecting viruses and bacteria into their bodies, or creating more wounds on their body in order to treat their injuries?" Welcome to the world of medical science, or the world of problem solving really.

And if you truly think it's such a bad idea, then what do you think is the alternative that's equally realise-able and much more beneficial? I'm all ears. However if your plan is to just have a whinge about it and advocate that doing nothing is a better solution to a problem, then I must stop you here.

Flapping your mouth doesn't solve a problem, nor does inaction do. Practical implementations are often not perfect, but that's what it takes to be practical, as perfection is not realistically possible; and that's why people make attempts and conscious efforts to approach it, each hopefully better than the last.

You think some of the current state-of-the-art solutions to certain problems are counter-intuitive? Well I say that at least works, it may not be perfect but it is infinitely more helpful than doing nothing.

Also, don't give me that imperfection somehow equates to the worst thing ever, like literal apocalypse. Please. Affirmative action doesn't do nearly as much harm than leaving it unattended, we both know that. Going back to the medical example at the very start of this thread (I bring it up just for this), it's like you're saying you'd rather leave a deep cut untreated because the medical stitches would put a couple more holes on your body; absolutely moronic.

........

Inb4 thread closed and banned, come at me Mods. Just wanted to get this off my chest because I'm such a monster, I know.

i dont know wtf his thread is about, if it is about vaccines. if you don't get your gets vaccinated your a fucking moron who is needlessly endangering not only your own kids, but those who CANNOT be vaccinated because of other health conditions

if this is about "affirmative action" yes... that was/is a failure that caused more issues than it fixed.

it did indeed fix some.., but it caused many more

which ironically is relevant to the "balance" section overall.. because that is something u need to take into account in balancing

if you make a change to fix something.. and it does at least partially fix it.. but it causes a bunch of other problems some even more severe that what u started with.. then it a bad change and needs to be reverted.

Well since this is obviously directed at me specifically and since it absolutely SHOULD get closed because it is purely political, I'll answer before it gets shut down.

You're equating it to medical science where things like vaccines can be used to inoculate people against diseases so they don't suffer the consequences of contracting that disease later in life.

That's fine insofar as the metaphor goes.

Here is what I demand of my medical science. In order for your treatment to be considered valid, you need to prove in a double blind study that employing your treatment is more effective than doing nothing.

Affirmative action has been proved to have a net negative effect on what it was intended to do. Do you understand that? It's not just ineffective, it's counterproductive. So it's not like giving someone a flu shot, it's like giving them cancer to cure their aids.

Better put me in my place quick before this gets shut down dude but that should be easy because of how obviously wrong I am about everything. Right?

It's not even in GD where it would stand fraction a chance, come on now...

Mods lock down threads constantly. It's pretty dumb.
