Vladimir Weaknesses?

Rioters often write about balancing champions with clear strengths and weaknesses. What are Vladimir's weaknesses? Watching the LCS games, he appears strong early, mid, and late, against a variety of compositions. Enough hard CC will kill him, but enough hard CC kills any champ (except Olaf!). Is he unbalanceable? Will Vlad always be dead weak or extra strong? Or maybe I'm overestimating his influence. Watching the games, though, I can't help but think Vlad gets away with way too much in too safe a fashion.

Well the reason Vladimir is super strong in competitive games, while being relatively weak in standard play is that in LCS games the team is frequently built around the Vladimir making it virtually impossible for him not to succeed given his inherent strength. Speed and Dive comps make Vladimir virtually unstoppable throw him into just anything and he's not likely to succeed nearly as well. You can see a certain strength to many champions, but typically LCS play is like looking into a vacuum. The champion is being played by the best available players, in the best situation they can be picked into, with a whole team backing them up as best as possible. It's like when you pick Malphite against an all AD team comp. It feels so good because it was the perfect situation to pick that champion.
