Why Mordekaiser is seriously underrated

Around a month and a half ago, I was rocking bronze v 0 lp maining veigar. One game I got autofilled into top and went up against a mordekaiser and got incredibly wrecked. His power seemed so amazing to me so I decided to start playing him into rank and I am now Bronze I trying to get silver by the end of the season (this is my first season).

Now here is why Mordekaiser is seriously underrated

1. Everyone talks about how Mordekaiser has no mobility and cc which is true to a certain extent. The only time this is true is in very early game making him susceptible to ganks. The problem with this claim is that mordekaiser's w and e both get gain extra healing and shielding per champion, making him nearly impossible to gank if he has minions (Morde gains extra health and shield assuming two champions are attacking him in a gank). Once Rylai's Crystal Scepter and Hextech Gunblade are built, he now has proper cc to make up for where he is lacking. Combined with Luden's Echo which procs on his ultimate, Mordekaiser becomes a very mobile, cc inclusive champion with insane damage output.

2. If Mordekaiser gets an adc ghost or dragon, he becomes nearly unstoppable. "Champion ghosts gain 100% of Mordekaiser's bonus AD as bonus AD and 15% of Mordekaiser's maximum health as bonus health, and while Mordekaiser has a champion enslaved he gains 25% of their bonus health as bonus health and 30% of their AP as bonus AP. Dragon ghosts gain bonus range and modified movement speed." Bonus AP for Morde, bonus health for morde, bonus ad for morde and potentially bonus ad for the champion he enslaved. Not to mention ghosts auto target champions so if mordekaiser is attacked by a champion while having a ghost, that ghost will continue to chase after the attacking champion until either he or the ghost itself dies. This makes Mordekaiser a huge threat if he has an adc or dragon ghost.

3. His utility is off the charts. Most Mordekaiser mains only build one tanky item but with his passive, Mordekaiser can tank a lot of damage as long as he isn't being cc'ed. With Hextech Gunblade, the healing on his w is insane for him and the teammate he attaches it to. Not to mention his ghost can provide insane teamfighting ability considering how fast he can turn a 5 v 5 into a 6 v 4. With Rylai's proccing with any ghost Mordekaiser gets, an enemy can be permaslowed making him a great gap closer (this includes the ultimate cast itself). This paired with Luden's Echo (which also procs on all parts of Mordekaiser's ultimate), Mordekaiser has amazing mobility and cc. Finally, he is a dangerous split pusher especially in the early game if he has an adc ghost or dragon. Elixir of Sorcery procs with his ghost, making turrets fall exceptionally fast in all phases of a game.

Mordekaiser doesn't get enough recognition for his viability in the meta so I felt the need to make this. Thank you all for reading.
