Future's Market Truth in Lending Policy, Please?
TL:DR: Rito, plz uniquely highlight items that would cost 50 gold more with Future's Market. ;^:
I main support in the game, and I'm certain many others in the game do too. For such people, gold income isn't phenomenal. Future's Market is a neat remedy for this, allowing for purchases that can be made on time in terms of the allied and enemy teams.
That said, the mastery isn't without its flaws (as are many others, but the system just came out, so go figure). The mastery effectively increases the price of every debt-inducing purchase by 50 gold. This is fine- and incentive to not go in debt unless you have to, or unless it's worth that 50 gold. The problem is thar the game isn't exactly clear-cut about it. Yes, there is a separate sound effect between purchase and lending, but that is after the purchase was made.
What I instead suggest is some kind of indication in the shop. If you have the money for something, leave the hud as is. If you don't, gray it out much like it does now. But if you don't have enough raw cash for the item, but can lend to make the difference, it would be neat for the hud to show such potential purchases in a red box or an indicator separate from the basic highlight and to add 50 gold (lending fee) to the price tag.
I recall when my brother purchased 1 potion with his leftover gold, but he ended up in debt for it. This effectively made the potion cost double (50 cost + 50 lending fee). This also carried on to other purchases. Future's Market is a great mastery with neat applications. But when players are used to "highlight = purchasable", the lending fee (+50) combined with the debt combined with no indication that either will happen.. It may make the player feel that they were scammed (remember, if you buy speed boots with debt, they cost 350 gold instead, but the pricetag is still 300.)
You can undo the purchase, yes, but that takes up time in a time-senstivie game. Unless you can think on your feet, the only time you may have the time to think about the purchases you make with the deby involved is likely when you're dead and have nothing else to do.
In short, I just would like to know at a glance when an item would cost 300 and when it would cost 350. Thanks for your time.
