Jungle or Mid

i finally reached level 30 and have been doing ranked. so farm im 3 games in. i thought i was going to main jungle but on my second match i did terrible. the other jungler was way ahead of me and my ganks were aweful. the next match i autofilled to mid and i did very well. i've always liked playing mid and i felt like i was making a big impact on the team. i know i could probably get better at jungler but honestly i'm terrible at ganking. so should i switch to mid or just keep learning jungle? thanks for any advise

At the end, this meta about good adc or atleast 3 lanes don't feed the enemy. so the matter of fact, play what you like and focus on it.

Honestly, you shouldn't be playing ranked yet.

So first off, I wouldn't play ranked until you know 3 Champs in 2 roles and 1 champion in the other.

Im a jungler main so I am biased but the perks of jungling are a lot. You are the most adaptable role to help fill out your team comp, you can be the tank if you need, the ap if you need or a carry. You also have the most control over objectives if you are into that. You will have to deal with the flame of your teammates as well as usually being under level and under gold.

As someone who does not mid, I can only tell you what it's like looking from the outside. Mainly mid champions are ap mages that deal Aoe damage from range and tend to have good utility, either in mobility or cc. The other type of champ that goes mid are ad assassin or casters. Picking these tends to lead into bad team comps so it is not recommended unless your top lane or jungler is ap damage focus, tanks really don't count.

Both roles are extremely good at snowballing other lands, mainly bot lane. Snowballing bot lane is currently one of the best ways to win the game.
