Why is kalista still so far behind every other adc

Just trying to figure out if Kalista is going to get any love ever since her gutting she received awhile back. Right now she just seems pointless to pick as every other adc can stomp her. Her short range and having to relay on her support to always be around is not very great game play mechanics. I mean if being around her oath sworn actually gave her an edge it would be worth it. But as of now being around the oathsworn just makes her below average.

Because her passive and objective control with Rend break her, meaning she's forced to stay nerfed into oblivion, because she will dominate with even slightly good numbers.

Well she was THE ADC for well over an entire year. Especially in pro play. Her kit brought: Extreme mobility Tremendous early trades (W passive) Amazing safety for her support (R) that coupled as an insane engage (long range huge knockup on an ADC????) Unrivaled objective control (Rend)

Her kit just had too many strengths that she had two powerful forms of herself that they didn't know what to do with her. I"m sure she needs a complete rework.

They need to remove her % health passive with the support and she will then be easily balanceable

90% damage on her basic attacks. /thread.

edit: actually a lot, though. Her passive is too good to be a passive so it's been nerfed. It should be moved onto an active skill for a duration and buffed/un-nerfed.

Her Oathsworn should be her passive. Something like. "When Kalista and her Oathsworn attack the same target, she gains X Attack speed for X amount of seconds. If Kalista or her Oathsworn hit the same enemy 3 times with basic attacks, the target takes X amount of % damage as bonus damage."

I agree she use to be quite the problem. But i really think they nerfed her a tad too much. Her mid game spike isn't really a spike anymore as much as it is a small easy to traverse hump. Maybe even toning down her passive hop distance and making Q -spear toss count as an AA and able to crit would maybe help. Just spit balling some ideas that would actually make her playable again. I'd rather see them adjust her then completely remake her though. Save their ideas for a new adc possibly and work with what they got. Maybe even Hop ever 2 AA's would maybe help. forcing more people to build AS on her even more.
