League of Legends is Sold Out and Washed Up

Hi guys. Here is my complete diatribe on why League of Legends is no longer a game worth investing your time (and money) into. If you disagree or if you're too brainwashed to open your eyes, that's completely fine! That was me at a point and it's understandable. However, as someone that has played this game at all skill levels (excluding Master/Challenger) for thousands of hours and have watched it evolve over time into the monster it is today, I'd like to share my fair and slightly unbiased assessment.

**"Toxic" Community **

Let's get down to brass tacks here, League of Legends is known for having THE MOST toxic community out of any multiplayer game. This game is primarily toxic because it completely wastes people's time. When you only have 2 hours to play some games and you have a game where 3 of your teammates are performing so poorly you'd question if they're INTing, that will throw anyone's attitude very quickly. This creates a deflection event, producing intentional feeders, purely toxic players, flamers, etc. On the other side of the equation, the people that are a little more "reserved" just tilt to the point where they don't care anymore; they'll enter ranked lobby's (this shit happens in high plat/Diamond too) playing Raka jungle or bard mid lane trolling around until the match ends. When you tie this behavior in with everything else listed above happening in almost EVERY SINGLE MATCH, no matter how "tough skinned" you might be, you're rolling down the fucking hill right along with them. Now, Riot has chosen a unique method to combat this behavior over the years by installing a very liberal ban system. If you say "you suck", banned. If you say "ez", you're banned. If you say "liberal snowflake", you're banned. If you say anything that may be considered offensive in any way, you're banned. This policy is down right fucking r%%%%%ed as all hell. This is a fucking video game. A fucking video game. Everyone in every video game ever has trash talked and talked shit. That's the entire point of a VIDEO GAME. I get they have the issue of the pussy snowflake generation that get offended by anything and everything, but that alone does not account for the fact that it is a FUCKING VIDEO GAME. I'd like to clarify something; talking shit is talking shit. Saying stupid shit out of context is saying stupid shit out of context. However, personal attacks on someone is completely wrong and another story. Every game in the world follows the exact same guidelines but Riot. Instead of using their divine, prerogative fucking genius minds to introspect and analyze why the fuck their entire community is toxic, they implement a stupid, cost-effective, zero effort way in attempt to regulate the issue. Nice Riot. Nice. Not only is this just a temporary band-aid, it makes the community 10x more toxic than it already is. Do you honestly think these players don't just come back even more pissed off?

I quit league of legends around the same time Dunkey made this video. My main account was Diamond 3 when I was permanently banned for "toxicity". I will be honest with you, I have over 30 banned accounts in LoL, all of which were from S5. 30 accounts. That is a lot. Between every other multiplayer game I play or have ever played, I have not had a single issue of being banned, suspended, or reprimanded for any reason whatsoever. This season, however, I came back "reformed" for a very long time. I had a great attitude because from what I heard, Riot implemented a great new ranked system where the MMR between the cosmetic tiers is no longer saturated and each role is now prioritized and... and... it's the exact same fucking nasty, stinking, rotting pile of dog shit currently baking out in the sun of my front lawn. I no longer have friends that play this game. Maybe I missed the memo...

Moving on, I vomited already.

Riot games is an absolutely disgusting pile of shit company and I'm not afraid to say it anymore. For too many years I've supported their game through it all just to watch them let the players down. The previous passion they invested into the game is no longer there. Like everything and everyone else, Riot sold out to a massive conglomerate that doesn't give a rats ass about anything but money. This game itself they do not give a literal flying fuck about. This game doesn't even account for .01% of Tencent's revenue. Once this game dries up and rots away, Tencent will always do what it does best; place offers to buy anything and everything popular and continuously fuck the Chinese asset-backed markets. Brandon Beck and Marc Merrill particularly should be fucking ashamed of themselves...although who am I to judge, I'd probably have done the same thing.

I know this is most likely going to receive a lot of negative criticism, but it's the reality of the situation. I have done so many more productive things in the years I've had no part in this game and I am fucking thankful for it. If you're one of the few that play casually, aren't burned out and KNOW they enjoy this game, I'm happy for you. If you part of the majority that are addicted to this game to point they think they enjoy this game, get off it NOW and find something more productive to sink your time into.
