Idea's for the spellblade items

Right now the 3 spellblade items lack focus. They are simply too old items that have problems in trying to maintain their original spirit. The three items having 3 different final cost despite the fact they need to be considered "big" items (IBG being nerfed for its strength despite it's low cost on ez in the past). They could be focused into what their core users should/would be wanting to build into for their overall item build. IBG needs to lose it's overlap as an AoE frozen mallet, Lich Bane could better empower past core users and potential viable users (especially with looking to bring mages into the bot lane), and Trinity Force needs to not have such an extreme price point and lose some of its ball o' stats feature about it.

SHEEN item 3057 Cost dropped to 900 gold Spellblade damage lowered to 75% base AD

This is the first one to building up the other ones. Lowering the component cost of it partially to bring down the completed cost for trinity force but to also to make the final upgrade cost for the other 2 final spellblade items not out of hand of being too much or too little.

TRINITY FORCE item 3078
Recipe: item 3101 + item 3057 + item 1037 + 425 (3300 total cost) Stats: +35% attack speed +20% cooldown reduction +250 mana Unique: +25 baseAD Unique – Spellblade: After using an ability, your next basic attack within 10 seconds deals (125% base AD) on-hit bonus damage (1.5 second cooldown). Unique – Spirit flow: After using an ability your base attack damage is increased by 0.33% per 1% bonus attack speed for 3 seconds.

This is the bigger one. Like I mentioned earlier the completed stats are equal to the component stats with the strength of the item's components, partly bringing down it's total cost through the lower comparable base stats, but loading up the power into the proc. This will cut out the hybrid defensive stat ball of it and sharpen it's offensive and auto focus for its current primary users, many of whom have built in attack speed steroids.

Iceborn Gauntlet item 3025 Recipe: item 3105 + item 3057 + item 3067 + 500 (3300 total cost) Stats: +200 health +20% cooldown reduction +30 armor +30 magic resist +250 mana Unique – Spellblade: After using an ability, your next basic attack within 10 seconds deals (125% base AD) on-hit bonus damage (1.5 second cooldown). Unique – Frozen steel: After triggering spellblade, for 3 seconds, the next spell or attack you receive deal (50% base attack damage) less damage.

This currently has way too much overlap with frozen mallet that is the fist thing that needs to be addressed. The shield/zone empower replacement tones down the primary annoyance case of Ez applying an AoE slow. It gives the tankier diver's and other potential users that would prefer to be more of the tanks for the team a point of survival without having a permanently inflated health bar from all damage like a shield.

LICH BANE item 3100 Recipe: item 3113 + item 3057 + item 3108 + 650 (3300 total cost) Stats: +60 ability power +250 mana +5% bonus movement speed +20% cooldown reduction Unique – Spellblade: After using an ability, your next basic attack within 10 seconds deals 125% base AD on-hit bonus damage (1.5 second cooldown). Unique – Blessed absolution: After using an ability your base attack damage is increased by 60% bonus AP for 3 seconds

Lich bane already had pretty strong focus but it could have used improvement in it's power distribution. This is a solid option to make a better auto interaction for AP champs that have solid sheen synergies and in the realm of riot wanting to give something to allow mage champs to go botlane lets them have something more to do with their auto's other than purely triggering spellblade.

STERAKS GAGE item 3053 Recipe: item 3052 + item 3044 + 750 (total 3200) Stats: +500 health Unique: +35% base attack damage. Unique – Lifeline: If you take 400 - 1800 (based on level) damage within 5 seconds, you gain a shield for 8 seconds equal to 75% bonus health that decays after 0.75 seconds (60 second cooldown). Triggering Lifeline grants Sterak's Fury. Unique – Sterak's Fury: Grants increased size and +30% Tenacity and 30% movement speed for 8 seconds. Unique – Rage: Basic attacks (on-hit) grant +20 flat movement speed for 2 seconds. Killing a Unit grants +60 flat movement speed instead

The last point to bring up in the sheen synergies. This brings back the well loved rage passive that is already enjoyed on the current trinity force. The change to steraks fury effect really focus's the effect of utility to have the cc resist and speed to gtfo or to run down your enemy.

On the another case of divers picking a very wide mix of items, there is consideration about them being able to build more than one of the different sheen upgrades. The different base damage interacting passives will allow for them to stack but there will still be a very notable total gold cost to achieve that kind of power. At the end of it all, should there be anything out of had the passives are the only part to zero in on for either buffing or nerfing as the stats can't be brought down any further in the sense of nerfs and it isn't needed to bring up for buffs.
