Smurfing, and why it ruins this game!

I don't expect people to agree with me but this is one aspect of the game that just ruined League of Legends. Has Riot not figured out that there is a huge skill difference after 6 years between the Leagues. Having your main account and then basically dog-****ing you other has honestly killed the integrity of the game. Yes, I am a Bronze Player and I am sure proud of it. I don't come into LoL with this crazy attitude that I have to climb the ladder. I have fun just playing at the level I am, but then you have these higher league players who tanked their entire level 1-30 and also 10 promo games so they could end up in the same league as myself. Does it feel good for them to just roll over lesser skilled players, Maybe it does, I wouldn't know but this has got to be the worse for those players like myself to experience these types of situations, And then when have these toxic players who think they're gods gift to League that has done nothing but bad mouth players that actually belong in bronze. When will this get fixed, I could sit here all day and let these MOBO bro's come to WoW and any other MMORPG to watch them whine day in and day out on how bad it is to get rolled like a player like myself, but that's not me. Come on Riot. Just because we play at a lower skill cap in a MOBO doesn't mean when have to get trashed all day long. It is very tiresome, listening to their complaints over and over on how bad we are. If they earned a league then that is where they should stay to better improve their skills, Not be able to tank a SMURF account so they can roll over new players for their EGO so they can make the new players basically wanna leave the game the moment they start.

i smurf to get other accounts to my own elo.. what makes u think i want to stay in bronze?

there are different types of smurfs. dont group us all together. its pathetic to sit in bronze as a gold+ and stomp. its not satisfying whatsoever.

Smurfs are the core problem with people getting boosted from Dynamic Queue.

It's the elephant in the room that Riot doesn't know how to take care of. There are some legitimate reasons to Smurf. Problems at high MMR, usually queue times, are the main reason. It's a complex problem, with multiple factors into why people Smurf, and how to handle people who do smurf for the wrong reasons without punishing people who aren't abusing the system.

i had two diamond players boosting a player yesterday. it wasn't fun at all. they had a stream on twitch and everything

its easy to fix put simply. its hard to fix smurfs that come in on a hacked account or a shared account and play a cpl games to boost someone. thats never gonna be fixed unless they take serious measures. but they need to fix some of these people that win 30 games in a row and have 30 kills per game. obviously they are way higher than the elo they play in

i bet people smurf in other games too. but i doubt its anything to the extend of league where one out of 3 games has a smurf. and as am saying. i had multiple matches in the past week that had multiple smurfs again just yesterday i had two diamonds streaming and it was gold elo. meanwhile. i had a silver 4 in their promos on my team. how is that matchmaking fair at all?. its not.

Smurfs don't end up in bronze lol. High elo smurfs finish their promos and get to mid-high gold to low-mid platinum.

first of all. "smurfing" is a choice. You can't denty someone to make another account so how can you handle a problem on limiting people to one account when challenger players like every one of them have a smurf so saying that is a problem is like saying no one can have more than one account. Yes seeing if someone is boosting way more noticeable than someone who is "plummeting" on purpose. either way if someone is feeding report them. that's how the system is taking care of this. I have 4 accounts in different elos but no one complains. and you complain about playing against someone higher elo than you? that is honestly the best practice you'll have instead of playing against lower elos. the better they are the more you'll learn from that experience.

i use this account to get higher than gold cuz i peaked there on the main that was banned.

i use my other account to drop to bronze so i can stream bronze 5 lv game-play on twitch.

you guys are fun to watch, its good that y'all can learn and entertain at the same time

Smurfs are a frustrating topic.

You have a point, high elo players, frustrated with being unable to climb out of plat come down to bronze/silver to roflstomp to boost their ego. At the same time, there are players that smurf to either play with their low elo pals without pitting them against high elo players, or just lost their original account via ban or an outside cause. I personally know a few bronze/silver players who smurf simply because they got frustrated and wanted to abandon the old account all-together.

I won't truly justify it, nor defend it, but I will try to understand it.

Honestly, there isn't much that can be done. Riot can't tell a smurf from an original account from the gameplay data alone, and simply creating and playing on a separate account isn't against the rules in of themselves. All we can do is report the smurfs who intentionally feed and try to learn from the ones who curb stomp us.

I only have one smurf, in the EUW, but I barely use it because I have more fun here in NA than the multilingual cesspool of toxicity the EUW has to offer.

I think having 2 separate ranked queues next season will help out a little, not solve, but help. Like 2 accounts will now have 4 separate rankings, meaning we'll probably see less new smurf accounts leveling up whixh should help new players.

On the other hand, if the average high elo player already has multiple level 30 accounts, this could potentially make things worse in ranked play, especially at lower levels. I.e. every current smurf account is doubling the amount of games where they are already creating problems.

Most pros just wanna get all their accounts to their highest obtained League (ie, qt wants to get all his smurfs to challenger, bjerg does too..and so on). There are even some Diamond 4+ players that make smurfs just to play with their lower level friends and possibly boost them. It feels like an ego thing; they can't get higher on their main or hit a breakpoint of losses, so they get on their smurf and stomp some Plats/Diamonds/Masters/try to hit chall.

But imo, they can't ever reach rank 1 cause they don't try hard enough. They just make more smurfs and ignore their mains to get all smurfs to chall, then expect to hit rank 1. Faker only has one NA account and reached rank 4 in NA challenger, within a month. But that's also cause he's god. I remember seeing a picture of about 5 of people's mains in D1 promos, consisting of Dyrus, nightblu3, maybe Voyboy, and some others. Then I see Dyrus or whoever's stream, and hey, he's on his smurf.

Riot has to punish usage of smurfs if they wanna stop it, but currently, there is no punishment or any backlash at all. Besides the bother of having to buy a level 30 account or level one from scratch. Since duos are available next season in 'SOLO' queue, then friend-boosting is still gonna happen, but in lower quantities.

Are you trolling? or...

Smurfs don't get placed in bronze, actual smurfs get ranked at least gold out the gate. Even gold "smurfs" would be placed in silver.

So you'd be basically be complaining about silver players playing on bronze "smurfs"

And also you could consider smurfing is why NA and EU are weaker than Korea and China as well. Money is in streaming which means they need to be playing more games that isn't sitting in queue as long. Plus once people usually get in challenger they just stop trying to improve. They get there and decide done now lets see how many more of the limited spots I can take up with smurf accounts.
