The season is winding down which means you'll be running into a lot more elo boosters than usual. I've been running into them a lot myself lately and I always do some scouting to identify them and shut them down best I can before they become a problem, and I've made a 3 minute video of an example with a "gold" draven who was trying to push a kassadin he duoe'd with through his diamond promo's.

For those that don't have 3 minutes to spare the summary is to identify smurfs through scouting (op.gg/lolnexus) and look for people who are a full tier below the one you're playing in with abnormally high win rates on a very small selection of champions. Bonus points if they have zero ranked games from the previous season on the champion they're suddenly climbing with.

Once you've identified them you need to recognize they are probably the best player in your game and you must prioritize shutting them down, changing your game play to concentrate your efforts on wherever they are as they'll always be trying to make plays. Once you've put them behind try to close the game out before they have a chance to recover (and they will if you let them so becareful with dragging games out).
