Buffing Normals for QoL Increase

It's vitally important for the long-term success of this game if we make a true distinction between the value of playing ranked, and the value of playing normals. I've mentioned before on here that if Riot seriously wants to clean up ranked, it needs to make Normals something other than Ranked-like. Currently there's no incentive to play normals, and any of us who've been in a match with a player trying something out in ranked understand that there should be.

My question to the larger community is: If Riot removes something from the Ranked rewards, what do you think would be the most effective (you should determine what effective means on your own).
