Riot just trolled be with a bronze 5 placement-Silver 5 last season..smh .500+ games made me worse?

2nd season. (Ironically LAST SEASON I was placed in SILVER 5. MY 1ST EVER SEASON....500+ GAMES AND A SEASON LATER I HAVE BECOME WORSE AND LESS TALENTED????

5W-5L---Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?? I'm a soloque player, I don't have friends who play. I love this game. But I am BEYOND frustrated with the fact that I'm a skilled player but placed into BRONZE 5, basically saying I belong with the most inexperienced, newest, trollyest players in the game. How can I improve? what can I do better?? Does this game simply ask that you carry EVERY GAME? No matter the circumstance, that even tho its a TEAM game your individual stats, skill and talent as a player don't matter at all? All the kumbaya songs in the world couldn't bring together some of the worst attitude teams. This frustration doesn't come out in-game. I attempt to be nice, polite and only talk with game communication. no player is perfect mistakes happen. But this placement just seems beyond unfair to me.

The fact that you think you should be ranked higher is probably the reason you're not ranked higher. Also, you can carry as a support.

Placements put you where the system thinks you should be. What you see isn't always where the system thinks you should be. Could it be an error? Could there be a miscalculation right now because of reasons? Absolutely. But we can't actually tell you if you've improved or gotten worse simply off of KDA and CS-per-minute. Simply put, those stats tell us nothing. And the system doesn't even care about those when it calculates your rank.

How is your team doing? Are you spending more time farming side-lanes and not helping defend/take objectives? Are you grouping with your team? These can't be readily seen from post-game stats, from our end. If you're spending all your time just farming and not looking at objectives, then it stands within reason and logic that you aren't going to be ranked as highly as you want to be, or think you should be.

But hey, don't take my word for it, I'm only a bronzilver scrub myself. I don't really care to play ranked that much anyway, and I never play ranked in the first month of reset anyway. So yeah, tl;dr look at what you are or aren't doing with your team. It's a team game, yes it helps if you can just destroy the enemy team by yourself, but having your team--even if only for a delicious and disposable meathshield--is still a key to winning. Objectives win you the game, not your KDA.

it's hard to say what you need to improve on, but it's generally a bit of everything. placements do tend to put people lower in rank and then people climb, so you might not have it too hard depending on your skill. just look for any mistake and everything else you do and try to improve on it. i haven't seen your game and i don't care for KDA too much since it doesn't actually say what happened in the games.

Just like me I ended last season in B2 in my placement matches I went 9-1. Where do I belong? Of course bronze 5 is the correct answer.

I feel you man. I was s5 and got b4 after winning quite a few in my prelims then and my 120+ ranked from last season have I gotten worse? >.< I was placed higher last season......

You have no idea how placements work. Your performance doesn't matter at all.

All that does is: the outcome of the game aka Win-or-Loss and who you played aganist.
Also, soft-reset lowers your last season's MMR, so you will end up one Tier lower on average.
Additionally, the absolute placement cap after placements is Plat 1.

That's how it's been for the last... three or two season, current not including.
