One For All Voting

Dear Riot,

Can someone explain to me why when three people on a team agree to a champ and two others pick some other random thing, why more often than not one of the random things gets chosen? What is the point of having a majority vote then? Why not first to lock in wins - or say it's random. Don't put MAJORITY over my vote and then pick something else.

Thanks.

The thing is, more often than not, the champion that 3 want is chosen. Maybe you are unlucky and you feel cheated, but that isn't the case at all. Having a 60% chance of success is a majority share, yes. You are also 40% (nearly half) likely to not get what you want, so you can't be too surprised when you don't get your way.

With a 3 champion vote you are just as likely to not get your pick as you are to win with the new Akali.

Yes, this is very disappointing. What are the rules?

I got into a game, two people picked Jhin, and a friend and me picked Lux. I don't know what the other guy picked (presume Darius) because I didn't care to look because my friend and I both changed to Jhin to make it 4 votes. Then we get 5 Darius. >:-(

Why?

Is there some technicallitiy that perhaps two of the four didn't lock in the vote or something? Its the only explanation I can think of, other than the system doesn't work. Even then, if a vote isn't "locked" it should be counted anyway. But I guess that's out of the question, since the system doesn't do it even in draft mode. if you forget to lock your champion in Draft mode you get kicked, instead of just giving you the selected, though unlocked champion. It's a common user mistake that should be handled better.
