Spell Vamp plz?

I'm going to start by saying "I know this is only my opinion, but I wanted it to be heard (read) at least..."

I don't know, nor do I really want an explanation, why spell vamp on items was removed... I play mostly AP characters and spell vamp was an integral part of most of my item-set strategies. Since it has been removed it is (obviously) harder to play most of the characters I enjoy. I also noticed (reworks or nerfs be damned) that there is still plenty of life steal and auto-attack characters that can sit and do nothing but click once and not drop health... Again, I know there are probably WAY more people happy about this change than are upset, but I just want you to know that I feel like you ruined a good portion of LoL for me.

Basically there were 2 champions that actually built spell vamp before: Vlad and Akali. Vlad was completely reliant on it, buying it to double down on his high-sustain play, and Akali mostly got it if she knew the lane was going to be rough. Most other champions either have suitable sustain or can avoid enough damage that they don't require large amounts of healing.

Life steal is more fair in that every champion uses it in almost the exact same way. There's no advantage for manaless or energy-based champions, there's no advantage for either AoE spells or single-target, there's no advantage for short cooldowns over long ones. The only difference between champions using life-steal is whether they can apply it at range or have to get up close and personal. And "ranged" is still shorter than most champions' threat range, so it's rare that lifesteal can be applied without any risk of a counter-attack.

Both Karma and Lux can utilize the bloodstacks on Athene's efficiently to heal. The Buffs to Spirit Visage and Warmogs changes also aided Singed. Vlad was greatly compensated via his kit changes. Veigar is the only one that may have been affected if there were people that built item 3146 on him.
