Unpopular opinion: Autofill edition

People act like getting autofilled is the end of the world. They'd rather wait a full hour than get someone autofilled on their team. First of all, if you don't know a safe pick for every role, then you're clearly lacking in game knowledge. There are braindead champs for each role if you want to still be useful. Here's a list: Top: ranged champion or super peel tank for your adc Jung: someone with really fast wave clear (Kayn) Mid: Malz or Annie Bot: Tristana Support: literally any enchanter, especially Lulu (except Rakan who should honestly be classified as a diver, not an enchanter).

Secondly, if you're waiting an hour in your trash elo, imagine how long someone in challenger has to wait. Not everyone has an hour to wait either, so stop being selfish and thinking of situations that only work for you. Riot needs to appeal to the majority to be a sucessful game, idk why that's seen as evil. They need que times to be short.

Also just saying but people often use autofill as an excuse to not try or troll. Solo que isn't pro play, I've won vs plenty of people playing their main role after getting autofilled. I've won vs a diamond riven that somehow got into my gold game (thanks to this seasons crazy match making) just by picking Poppy and pressing W. As a support main (at heart, but I'm playing pretty much everything this season), the way I see autofill is just you playing a secondary support for your team. No one is expecting you to win your lane, but just playing super safe and picking a champion who can peel for others and let those who did get their main role will go a long way.

I don't want to hear a 1 in 100 game story where autofill TOTALLY made you lose btw, please don't leave them in my mentions :)

People find excuses for why the lose 24/7 and autofill is one of the easiest things to blame. The second easiest thing to blame is of course your jungler. Then your bot lane. Then the enemy team's overall mmr vs yours. Then of course x champion is just op. It's impossible for some of y'all to do bad, you're just always unlucky and have those excuses ready lmao.

Autofill is healthy for league because a lot of players don't want to wait forever to find a game. It's part of the game now and it's really not that hard to play around. Hopefully, it doesn't go anywhere.

spoiler alert: if you're the type of person to go fiddlesticks Ashe support when you're autofilled and you don't even ask your team if anyone else wants to support (I would considering I main support but just like to try out every lane), you shouldn't be blaming auto fill for anything. This applies to every lane and clearly off meta picks. Shaco top, your top lane bruiser as mid, your mid lane champion as bot, etc. If that's your thing and you're good at it, that's fine, but if you're just picking it because you got autofilled then... well you're clearly just unlucky idk what else to say. There's too many of you.

What are you on about? Have been said 100 times high elo is different than low elo Plat and less auto fill should be removed queue times are low when I'm smurfing in even Plat it would take about 2 minutes to find a game it wouldn't hurt them that much and queue times won't be that high

now hold on, a mid lane caster in the bot lane as a carry is fine, as long as you know what youre doing. im terrible at adc. cant get out of bronze on adc, but steadily rising through silver on every other role. i picked cassi adc one game because the rest of my team was AD/tank (support was pyke, top/jg were tanks) and we absolutely stomped. i understand supportlesticks and suppashe being frowned upon, but dont lump the APC in with the rest of the bullshit picks people do.

Top; Sion or any infinitely scaling tank, Ranged tops take too much knowledge in match ups to use properly, and most likely will get destroyed by ghost darius Jung; Kayns a decent pick here, but if you don't know how to kayn or gank than you've wasted this pick. Easiest jg in my opinion is going to be something like wukong/yi Mid; Oof, malz is a melee and annie is the shortest mage every. I'd pick xerath or velkoz. Bot; Trist is the opposite of safe. Safe bottoms; Sivir, Ashe. Sivir can stop cc and ashe get slow/stun and run. Support; Here you are right, any enchanter will do.
