Clash

SO, I've been playing league for quite some time now. It's bound to happen that in one of my games, I was flamed one too many times and lost my cool. It happens to the best of us eventually. As per expected I received a penalty of a chat restriction and having my honor level dropped to zero for a set number of games before being able to begin my honor climb all over again. I recently was informed that a specific honor level is required to play clash. First I would like to find out if this is true and either confirm or deny my quarrel. If it turns out to be accurate I would like to inquire as to why this one bad game of mine is going to prevent me from competing with my group of friends in the new clash system. I understand being penalized but not being able to play with my group because of one game? I think that's taking it quite a bit too far. I was hoping to get some publicity on this thread as to bring it to riot's attention to help my situation and possibly others who are in a similar one!
