Itemization delays

So I had an enemy team with all magic damage, and my team said buy magic resist. So guess who buys magic resist? Me. ONLY ME. (and our top laner but he was tanking). Our mid bought damage items first, instead of both magic resist and damage items My adc said to me: If I buy magic resist i can't do damage. (Mercurial scimitar? Edge of night? Maw of Malmortius?) I need to finish my infinity edge first (25 minutes into the game). If you itemize against the team comp early... you can get fed and feed less at the same time and then you'll make it to late game!!!! WHOAAAA. People are so strange. They have a stubborn build path but demand other people buy Magic resist, while getting one shotted by anything and everything in the game because not only did our adc have no Magic resist items, he also had no magic resist runes! As a result, our adc went 3/11, and our mid laner went 8/9. It would be sooooo much easier to survive a teamfight.... if you learned that magic resist and damage can be built together, instead of getting blasted in a half second. Sorry, was a bit of a rant.
